The other day we were up at TORCHS flying and the wind was so strong, it blew my damn Logo off the bench, with the blades folded in the holder... I would guess they were steady at 20 with gust close to 40...

I had many charged batteries, so I flew, but the fun meter was running kinda low! There were not many other guys flying...

I have a 2.5min video of one of my gusty day flights on my phone. YouTube is not working with me to upload. Its certainly is challenging flying in strong gusty winds but only hover when its like that. My heli did tip over 3 days ago from the wind gust after I landed. The blades hadn't come to a complete stop and I looked away from a split second. Whap Whap Whap is all I heard for that split second. $100 worth of damage.

No one flies better than me..when I fly alone!

I was flying my brushless MCPX today in about 20mph. It takes it like a champ! The AS3X system shines in the wind.. Upwind legs were slow motion looking, then you yank back on the elevator and jam the collective - it just shoots up and away like a rocket. That heli is so much fun

Really the hard part is maintaining position in the flying area...

Doing a low symmetrical hurricane while it's calm... no problem, holding altitude, and doing the same size circle on both sides in 30 MPH wind... now that's a bitch!
