Where do I find the spares for rjx! ? And I think I am confused...

Also...
My carbon fibre blades are loose in the blade grips. I have the aluminum spacers in the blade grips (2 each) , I don't seem to get the screw moving any further, and the blades are not tight enough.

I tried the plastic spacers that came with my stock vibe head but they were too thick.

Let me know y'all... Can't fly like this..

Another question, how to do pitch of this heli, I don't have a digital pitch gauge, and honesty can't afford it yet.

So how do I get the blade pitches set up ? It's. .50 size as everyone knows ..

Let me know y'all! Thanks!!
Any ideas?

Is there a specific place where I should tighten the swash follower??

Let me know!! Thanks...

People call me crash master... for a reason.. :P :D

Spares:
Check with HeliDirect
I don't seem to get the screw moving any further, and the blades are not tight enough.
Blade Grip:
Had the same issue with my RJX head.
I noticed the bolt grip is almost too long and the nut will bottom out on the grip preventing it furher tightening. Add a small washer under the bolt head or under the nut.

Some blades just tend to fit loose on the grip. The blade grip spacing is a little off towards the big size. That prevents to be adusted properly. and keep it from flopping. I made some smaller brass shims to fill the gap. Then added the washer under the head bolt to give me a little more marging to adjust it properly.

Blade Bolt grip, the solid part, is too long, nut bottoms out on the last thread and you cannot tighten any more. Add a small washer under the bolt head to allow squeeze it more.

S

edit
if you remove any of the pieces that make up the grip spacing, you make the situation worse.

I'll post some photos to ilustrate the issue. Is not a showstopper but it sure is annoying not able to get your blades tight.

more to come...

Here is the issue, the shank or grip on the bolt is almost too long to squeez a proper 12mm blade with 2mm in shims.

My blade grips are oddly 15mm, not 14mm, forcing me to use two 1.5mm shims. If I use 1mm shims and try to squeeze the grip down with the bolt it wont let me as the nut will bottom out on the shank.

If you add a small 5mm ID washer to the bolt then you can tighten the grip down. You can take out he top or bottom bolt fixtures off the grip to add the washer(s)

Use shim that comes with blade and get the rjx .5 mm shims . Esprit has them

http://www.espritmodel.com/flybarle...ers-05mm-4.aspx

You don't want to squeeze grips ,it will cause issues in others areas of head

I stole it ,flew it and gave it back ;)

Thanks money put for the pic.. I tried that it helped but I am using screws that have a shorter flat part and more threads.. It helped just a little .. But still too loose to fly.

Then Jeff... If those are the aluminum ones that are with the rjx head. I already had those and they are in there.

Now I tried this, I used one metal shim that comes with rjx and one plastic one stock for my vibe. One blade is TIGHT!!! And the second one is a little loose.. Still.. Trying to get that figure out now ..

Ok .. The guy I bought this from sent me linkages , but that are too long!!

Can I get y'all's measurements please.. Like a general IDEa.. ?

I really appreciate it!!

After a shorter shank bolt, use 1/2 mm shims like Jeff showed.

Jeff,
Thanks for that link.

which lenghts?

control link rods are roughly 67mm
I am using 2.3mm thick links from a synergy (i think), stock are 2.6mm dia.

I lost the stock ones in "FBL went nuts" dive.

HeliDirect usually sells them.

Mine are 67mm exposed rod between links on a Vibe 50. I just did the zero degrees blade pitch at half-stick with a level swashplate as usual.
