I have just put my beast on a outrage G5 450 and the swash jumps in a hover when I go to idle up. Head speed is by the book and the beast worked perfectly on my V50. I had meat with the set up and the pots, swapped blades and still the heli acks as if I had a valence issue. I know there is no balence problem cause I balenced everything and it work fine with a 3GX. Any ideas?

Could be your pitch curve. Could be your radio settings are different in each flight condition/mode. Flip your radio switch and see if things change on the radio, with heli off of coarse

I just did to double check and all moves the way it should. With motor disconnected the swash does not move it seems to be a gain problem. I just can't get her dialed in. She just shakes when head speed is up.

Shake is a bad word to use. It is a bobble. Just like the tail if gain is to high but in the swash.

Sounds like swash gain is too high. Try lowering it a bit. What is your head speed also?

Or maybe you forgot to set the pitch curve and the throttle curve to be linear, before setting up the microbeast?

Pitch and throttle curves are linear I have meat with both pots and head speed gov. from ice50 by the manual can't remember right now what exactly. It worked perfect with 3gx was installed. And like I said earlier beast work perfect on my V50. Now I have another problem. I updated the beast to ver 3 and it wont finish the initial set up. The lights just keep on flashing. I rebinded it and it's not a bind issue. I'm working on my upgrading my V50 at the same time and comparing the set ups and all is exactly the same. Is there another way to adjust the swash gain? And why won't the thing stop blinking? Driving me crazy

- Make sure your swash expo isn't enabled in your tx.
- try changing the beast tape.
- if setting up is failing, what step is it failing at?
- to hard of dampers in the head?
- did you try turning pot#1 all the way down?

and wtf is 'meat' ?
I have meat with both pots and head speed

Expo is off. Tried both just double sided tape and the beast foam tape that it comes with. Stock dampers and are good. And yes moved #1 pot all over the spectrum. Meat was ment to be messed I was driving while texting a sin I know. And it is failing at final step of boot up. It goes threw the light sequence all the way to the end but won't stop at the last step and initialize. It did right after the update and the one time was the last.

I don't have it home with me now it is at work. The 50 is going down for and engine upgrade so I will be able to focus on it more. If I can't get it to initialize I will bring it home and try the update again I guess. It has to be a gain issue. Im hopeing. I just don't get it. If I have to I will try putting it on some other 450 and to duplicate.

S76 how is it going? Still at keystone?

Whats up Al. Left keystone bout 8 yrs ago. Been working for Jersey SP. How bout you, still workin for Frank?

I had that same issue with the Gaui X5. Version 2 it wobbled bad. Its pretty common with X5s though. Went through the whole gammet of troubleshooting the dreaded wobble. Finally what did it for me was a few things. Changing to the neon green K&b dampers. Upgrading to V3. But most importantly. I changed the long balls on the swash (attached to the mixing arms) to shorter shank ball. Actually the balls were flush with the swash. This changed my geometry abit so a reset up was neccessary. But it cured the wobble completely. Now shes smooth as glass.

My beastx did the same thing in my 700.
As I came up in Rpm it started popping the collective up and down.
It was the unit, I replaced it, problem solved.

I bought it as a kit, it ended up a kit!

Yup still at Carson. 12 years now. Best flying field around. Free big 3 areas to fly and all day while we work. Hard to give up.

Thanks for the ideas I will keep everyone posted if I figure it out and welcome any other ideas.

I was thinking beast went bad to, but hard to swallow when it flew perfect the same day just on a bigger heli.

I'm an idiot. Had to reselect rx type. First update didn't think I needed to start from the very beginning of the set up. So let's hope the jump is gone with update.
