On my scale birds I have some older non heading hold and some newer heading hold gyros being used in normal mode that woud benifit from revolution mixing like my old 388x had. I have tried some simple mixes throttle to rudder to keep the nose straight with stick inputs but none seem to be as good as the old radio mixes that provided some acceleration mix "kick" to go along with the rudder offset for stick speed change. Anyone know how this can be done on the 11x?

Anybody done a simulated revo mixing program on ANY newer JR radio????

I can't be the only guy still wanting to use regular rate mode in a scale bird??? It looks/acts more scale like to me to see the tail a bit free???

On the 11x it is called "Tail Curve", Page 26 of the manual.

I tried that, it works but no were near as good as old mixing which gave another function to it called accel rate in which not only did it mix tail pitch in as throttle increase it gave an extra kick for how fast the stick was moved, same in the opposite direction. I have played with this a lot and can not get the tail to act like it did with old mixing of my 388s were it would stay pretty stright with even low gyro gain settings.

THANKS for pointing it out and posting the manual in pdf form

I'm using the tail curve with my 1/4 scale Bell 47 and it seems to be doing the same as my 9303 did. Interesting it was different on your old radio.

The 388s is a old S PCM analoge radio, about 20 years old, bought in about 1990-93, all or JR's radios had thsi function even back in the day of the Century 7 except it was pots and dials back then. The function missing is an accel rate to augmnent the offset. The faster you move the stick the more kick the servo would do, like over shoot then return, you could see the difference in servo/tail blade reaction, move the stick slow a gradual increase to a fixed point, move the stick fast a fast reaction past that point then return to the end point. Were it worked the best is in say a fast verticle decent like straight down and quick stop at the bottom or a fast approach into hover were you almost stand the heli on it tail. I wonder if anyone at Horizon would know? The gyro in the heli is a HH type but with a wire drive I shy away from using it in heading hold mode, it has been rate mode with the 388 for 8-10 years and happy, hard to believe a newer radio with a billion bells and whistles can't make it act the same

No Revo
Hi Nick,

I am sure that a tech from hh can talk you through this set up, and if they do, l could use the info too for my 1985 GMP Cobra..
I am pretty sure that you will need to do a throttle to rudder mix to acsent the tail curve..we usedbto use this so the tail pitch would not slow the engine, and l am thinking this is what is not happening with just the tail curve....
Let us know how it works out... Stan

If you can get BarracudaHockey to chime in he can probably help in this. He's sharp on this radio and has helped many of us.
