JR Vigor help
Hello, i just signed up here. My dad highly recommend this site. So i have a jr vigor 60. I have a ys 61 in it and a dx7s w/ ar8000 receiver. Servos are futaba 9252's for pitch, elevator, throttle, and aileron. I have a futaba gy401 gyro with the 9254 servo. All the linkage lengths are to spec (via manual) what im having trouble with is the radio setup. For instance, mixing and curves. I am fairly familiar with the radio but not settings for helis. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

If you want, I have a copy of the instruction manual and that will help you quite a bit. I have one of those machines and it is a great flying machine and you will enjoy it.

PM me your email address and I will send you the manual

Thanks for the manual offer. But I have the manual that came with the machine. So I guess that the mixing values in the book are universal for all radios? If so I can just put them in. Thanks for the offer though.

The ccpm swashplate will have 3 balls on it to attach the links from the bellcranks, where the std mix will have 4 balls. Also the std mix has a set of levers in between the servos and the bellcranks.

Other question, any idea if it's 120 ccpm or 140 ccpm? Quickest way to tell is the 140ccpm, the front 2 balls are equal length as the rear ball from the center of the main shaft. Measured from center of shaft to center of ball.. Front to back.

anyway you could post a pic?

Yep that's right std mixing.. When you say mixing, are you talking about the swashplate setting?

Not fimilliar with the DX7S, but it should be the same basic software as the DX7. 1 servo for pitch, 1 servo for Elev. 1 servo
for Aile. As i remember the curves ect in the manual should get you pretty much spot on.

You will need a pitch guage and it would be best if you had a experienced heli pilot go over your setup. Pitch ranges, and throttle curves, and tail gyro set up ect..
If this is your first time out with this size a machine.

Thanks. I actually have a pitch gauge, and a experienced pilot (my dad) to go over everything. I will enter the, numbers in the book. I,didn't do that at first because i wasn't sure of the swash type. But I got it now. (Radio calls it 1 servo/normal) thanks for all the help. Ill report back once i get flying or if i find any more issues. Thanks again

ahh the memories
just so you know , this is basically a glorified ergo 60

same mixing base same head and tail

so if you crash it just look for ergo 60 parts

have fun

ohh, i notice theres no nuts on the screws on the servo horns

be sure to put some on.
