hey guys,

Well I am almost positive that I figured out what went wrong. And I feel soooooooo stupid because I have been in this hobby for awhile now and know my way around electronics and I just wasnt thinking when I set everything up. I have everything in this order.

I have my 2 cell lipo plugged directly into my vbar. I have all my servos plugged into my vbar. Then I have the jumpers going from my vbar to my rx. And I have my esc plugged into my rx throttle channel.

I didnt have power going into my RX seperatly. For some reason I was thinking my servo leads were supplying my rx power. But its actually the opposite.

I feel dumb. I turned everything on and my event log showed no (missed channel inputs). I think I am good. Now I am going to go over everything one more time and go put a flight on it.

Steve

P.S. For being so stupid I am willing to put up with flak from everyone. LOL

hey guys, before i could get out to the field i got a pm from another member and he said hes been flying his helis with the wiring setup that was identical to mine when i crashed it. do you guys see any problems with the two setups?

also, i think i did fix it cause my vbar log file has no errors since i put a source of power to the rx.

Depending on draw, I usually run a y cable one to rx, one to module.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Hey Steve,

Now you gotta try programming the bankswitching :P. I just did that today and had it on a 3 position switch on my transmitter and it was fun.. going between an "F3C" style feel to completely insane 3D.

Trying to learn something here.

Im also using a futaba 6008hs with my mini Vbar. I have both power leads from Konty, master and slave going to the RX, none to the VBar besides RX-B and RX-C leads which carry the power between the two.

I was under the impression that it did no matter were you bring the power (as long as is plenty, it is the same "power bus" between the two units.
and the two RX-B and RX-C carry the power in between...

Thats the same impression I was under. But I was told by a local that I needed a seperate lead going to rx for power. Preferably straight from the battery. But who knows. Maybe Mr. Mel knows more about this. All I know is that it solved the problem and I am happy. I hope if this happens to someone else they catch this thread before they plant there heli.

Steve,

my question is:

Is it wrong to bring the power ONLY to the VBar and not the RX, but is ok the other way around?

santiago

Mr Mel ?????

well i think that if your using "s-bus or "speck" RXs a "Y" is not needed but if your running a reg RX with out full 3 wire jumpers for input (like just the signal wires going from RX to v-bar) then a "Y" would be needed, but don't quote me on that.......
