Vbar rolled my 700e PROBLEM SOLVED
Hey guys, first time trying the vbar was very discouraging. I am almost 100% sure its my fault. I know mechanically my heli was great.

I am flying a trex700e with hitec 7940th HV cyclic servos, align 650 tail, edge blades, futaba radio.

I did the initial setup correctly.

I picked it up into a hover and its like someone just jabbed full right aileron. Luckily I hit throttle hold and it only broke one main blade, tail blades and landing gear.

I was having problems like this topic.
https://rc.runryder.com/t686879p1/

So, I got rid of paddle simulation and thats when it tipped over.

Any ideas?

Heres my numbers.

Style 90
Agility 70
Gyro Gain 96
RC Deadband 2
Elevator Precomp 8
Paddle Simulation 0

Yaw rate 100
Gyro gain 75

these were the numbers it crashed with.

My buddy did the same thing twice.

You have the aileron reversed in your radio.

Make sure the swash moves the right way on the bench.

This is getting pretty interesting, I just sent back 3 of the ACE GT5 FBL gyros because they were flaky. Its almost like the same company has done the programming for these and they are just repackaged. One of the ACE GT5's did exactly what yours did, I don't believe its your fault. Either the MEMs sensors are junk or nube's did the programming.

If everything was working correctly on the bench, all the settings are right and it got into a hover (read not tip over right away) then vbar didn't roll it over, there is probably something else going on, but let us know. Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

Sorry its upside down. RR must of done that. Cause its normal on my pc. The vibes look very low to me.

But here is what my log keeps saying to me. It says this everytime I boot up the vbar. After it is sitting it says its good.

RC input of pitch channel missed
RC input of aileron channel missed
RC input of elevator channel missed
RC input of tail channel missed

RC input of channel 2 out of range
RC input of channel 3 out of range
RC input of channel 4 out of range
RC input of channel 6 out of range

Any ideas guys.

MRmel is sending me a number so I can send it to Germany.
Get it checked out is the safest thing to do.

Hey.

Just a thought, but as mentioned above sounds like you had a lockout/brownout, I'm assuming you are using spektrum?

To check a possible cause try your failsafe, turn on the Tx and model, then simulate some control input and turn off the Tx. If failsafe is correctly set you swashplate should level out, collective goes to zero pitch and throttle idle or off.
If however the swashplate goes hard over this might give you a good indication that you lost radio link.

Hey Steven.

You're welcome buddy, hopefully it might help you find the cause.

According to reports the Futaba FASST system also suffers with lower voltage level resets and so it could still be a brown out problem. However as you are using straight 2s LiPo power it might not be the case.

Unfortunately this sort of problem could be any number of possible problems, all of which difficult to find.

Keep us posted.

With the FASST system the receiver will have to drop below 2.5 v in order to brownout/lockout, if that was the case, at 3.6 (Throttle channel failsafe) volts the system will warn you of a power loss by dropping the throttle channel ONLY to failsafe. Had you notice the throttle going to failsafe?

Then again, you using a LiPo pack I doubt is power related.

Doug.
