Just shot my first IDPA event this morning!

What a blast!!

Don't even know how I stacked up to the rest of the shooters, results should be posted this week.

Not enough time and money, TOO MANY hobbies!!

Tons of fun!

You need to try IPSC now. It's more freestyle. Less crazy rules lots and lots of fun!

Was just talking to my brother this evening trying to get him to look up an IDPA club where he lives.

I haven't competed for several years (took second place in a state championship years ago), but always had a ton of fun in both IDPA and IPSC. Not much compares to the running and gunning with my 9x23 IPSC race gun!

Been meaning to get back into it.

IPSC
I checked out the IPSC web site, it does not look there is a lot of local matches.

Is there a state by state calendar anywhere?

IPSC is actually the international group, the USPSA is the US section of IPSC that sanctions the matches here in the states. Their website is: USPSA.org

You can search for USPSA clubs in your area --> here <--

There are several clubs in OH. I shot at the Miami Rifle and Pistol Club in Cincinnati once ... nice place.

The reason I haven't been around here much is because I have started competitive shooting in USPSA. Here is a video I helped my friend Dave Miles shoot for the NSSF at a level II match last year:

Watch at YouTube

I am now up to 20 matches since I started back in October, and made B class in Production. This stuff is freaking addicting. I haven't flown a heli in *gasp* five months. Instead, I've been buying reloading gear to make my own ammo...I've been shooting an average of 1800 rounds per month.

HERE is a great intro to "IPSC" shooting.

Check out my Youtube channel for other videos of USPSA shooting matches...
