Trex 700 e one way bearing
On my 5 flight with my trex 700e an lost power. I auto it to the ground an landed it all good there. I put it on the table to see what was going on . An found that the one way bearing was now a two way bearing . Home now with it all apart an found that the collar that the bearing rides on is spinning in side the hub. To me it looks the collar was glued to the hub. Has this happen to any one else. What is the best fix from here to do. Thanks for all your help....

5th flight hard tick tock and poof. Put it on the bench and took it all apart. Same exact issue, in fact there are several forums about this. Clean both the collar and the sprag with alcohol and use green loctite to replace it, let sit for 24 hours then fly it like you stole it. Mine is now well over 100 flights and still going strong. Align uses very little loctite on the entire model.

FYI I also broke my 600EFL one way free in the same manner and repaired it all the same as well.

It's a common problem. Always remove bearing and re-install with green loctite and it will be problem no more ;-)

So no loss of power, but loss of torque.

Hi

I had the same problem.

I am sure a well cleaned and 'glued' with green loctite would do the job....

There is a thread about using green loctite in conjunction with drilling and tapping a 3mm hole and putting a 3mm grub screw through the side of the case and grinding an appropriately positioned notch in the inner ring

I did this. It has worked.... Took about 10 to 15 min extra to do.

Regards
Paul

Zero need to drill and tap.
Green Loctite on that much surface area can handle far, far more horsepower than a 700e can produce. It failed initially due to not enough. Or improper application. Clean it up and put a nice smear all the way around. It will hold.

Green loctite is designed to hold pinions on shafts an such, as long as the fit is snug green loctite will hold it no problem.Trex 700, Trex 600n

If it is a loose fit after spinning, use Loctite 680 (also green but high viscosity).
