I love my ENV. I'm not a great pilot but I have a Sylphide 50, a Blitz Avro and an Airskipper 50. I prefer to fly the ENV any day - but that probably also has something to do with the fact that it is electric. On the other hand all the other 3 went together with far less niggles and the quality is far superior. Sorry.

krcnz Why would I buy a heli that I would have to modify the parts I would like to use, or be forced to assemble in a less than accurate manner. I won't be buying another brand x if I can't use the servos of my choice. I think most of the heli's made today fly very close to the same. It is akin to buying a Ford instead of a Chevy. On the other hand I would rather see the money go to someone that has done a lot for the hobby.Chris

Build it, fly it, crash it. Repeat as often as needed.

Brian, I'm 50, and that is a just plain silly thing to say. Your obviously very loyal customers deserve better from you.

Bugger there's no emoticon for "YAWN"

Lets cut to the chase - did you get the answer to your post topic question?

"Anyone using Futaba servos on collective in the Ballistic or Ballistic frame conversion?"

From what was posted the answer is: Yes, and it seems they are a little tight but not a problem for an electric machine. Its seems the fit is nothing to tear your nightie over.

Start another topic on heli quality versus Sylphide, or servo sizes between different manufacturers and we'll continue over there.

Hmmmmm, Nick Maxwell used Futaba servos on all of his ENVs and Ballistics for his 3D Masters, Nationals and World competitions before he went back to school.

Brian was definitely joking.

The Futaba servos should fit in the Ballistic. Several of the early testers used nothing but Futaba servos. Sorry if the fit is tighter than some like. The servo mounting holes should be between the JR and Futaba layout. The machine was not designed for just one setup.
