guys, I received the new parts - new blade grip and new thrust bearing and new hub and still have the same issue - one bolt will sit flush against the hub and give me right amount of play and the other one will not sit flush against the hub and it blade grip slides out too far - this causes a slight bind in flight and causes my vbar to act up.

I am at a complete loss - guess I should have bought this model new!!!!!

maybe its the outer bearing that sites under the bolt, that has diameter issues - but would need to order a new bearing from Henseliet and that would take another weeks - guess I should have ordered that too.

I've had this bird almost two months - still can't fly it.

Any ideas would be great?

One tail blade holder having forward/after play.
No need to worry.
I have my TDR for 2 years now...
I noticed exactly the same thing...one tail blade holder had play...
BUT since the holders and blades are drawn outward by the centrifugal forces...there was no point for me to make a fuss...
Soooooo two years now, the heli flies great.
I did however dremmel the nuts because the screws going through the blades were short.
Having made the nuts thinner the whole nut fits better now.
No Pitch...No Fun!

I had the same issue, but as Egroeg mentions it should not effect the tail performance. And I ordered all my replacement bearings from Boca Bearings. It take three days to ship to you and also you can upgrade the bearing.

If you bought a used machine, I would replace all bearings in the tail rotor and in the tail boom. I had Vbar acting up on my 2 yr old TDR, replaced all bearings in the tail system, now so smooth.

I forget to mention that you need to balance the tail blade and the entire tail rotor assembly before flying

Thanks, we replaced the bearings and got the inner cup of thrust bearing to sit all the down in the grip - this was the problem. Now, both side are extending to the same length and its smooth and no additional play on either side.
I'm going to run it up soon to see how she flys.
Thanks guys,
Jeff
