+1 to Krysta!! Great customer service...helped me out with my mishap on my new HV bls servos last year!!

I've always believed that you pay for what you get in this hobby! It's just a added bonus for you being here on RR helping people out!

Krysta ROCKS!!!!

I'll be 100% honest. I NEVER EVER had a GOOD experience with Hobby Services before getting in touch with Krysta and ever since ALL my experience with Hobby Services has been GREAT. Would I trust anyone else over there. HELL NO! Krysta is great, but the rest of them, I have no use for.

That said, I've only needed Futaba warrany a few times. I've probably had 1/4 or less issues with Futaba stuff vs JR/Spektrum stuff. So that to me is worth something. Higher quality, better qc, less downtime you name it I dunno!

Horizon on the other hand has generally been super to deal with. I've sent stuff in fully expecting to pay for repair, b/c it was either my fault, or something else caused the damage ie bec etc... I wait for the phone call with amount of charge, and never got it. Just got back fixed or new parts. Now that's great service. yeah it comes at a price. They must have to markup their items to make sure they still make $. I don't blame them at all like some people who seem to think if a company makes money off me/them they are the devil lol. Granted I don't want to get jammed up too bad, but that's business. If they are not making money what's the point in doing business.

At the end of the day being in this hobby several years, I've come to the conclusion that you should buy what you want. yes service and warranty factor in, but to a point. I fully expect what I buy to NOT need warranty work. If it does, then yes I expect that to go well. NOW knowing Krysta I have no fears over getting jacked around at Hobby services. She has basically SOLD me 2x Futaba 8FGH's, a few sets of servos, a dozen FAAST rx's and other misc things in effect. If I would have kept getting the run around like I had before, I would not have bought further Futaba products due to my poor experiences. Krysta turned that opinion around 180 degrees, but again I deal with her only.

I also wanted to mention that just b/c someone is a rep or sponsored that their information/posts should be considered biased at least in the context of covering up or lying about a product.

I do think end users should show a health skepticism to ANYONE's information on forums whether they are sponsored or not. However, MOST of the reps/sponsored pilots I know will not give false information or whatnot to end users just to protect their status or the product they fly for. I know most of us on the teams I fly on are honest almost to a fault sometimes pointing out the faults(as well as the good of course) of the products we fly for moreso than competitors products( could be construed as bashing and not welcome).

I do see where Ace would form that opinion though, but I think it comes down to semantics on what you guys are talking about bias vs truth. I don't see the reps in this thread trying to shade the truth or anything malicious. I can also see where Ace feels that bias(liking the product they fly for) is almost impossible to avoid to some extent. That doesn't mean anything wrong or any malfenscence is going on though.

Got the servo back yesterday, shipped it to them last thursday, they got it monday, repaired it and shipped it 3/6. Now thats service!
