Here's the follow up to the FPTP video. In the AV system, voting for Ron Paul will not be a throw away if he ever went 3rd party. (he probably won't this election).

Watch at YouTube

All fine and dandy but you can't do it by doing your own spinning and distorting
OK Havoc, I can't laugh and poke fun at the mainstream media... on the internet... unless I am proven to be an unbiased participant? Really? Sounds like your goalposts, not mine. I like my laughs to come easy, spontaneous, big!

Who doesn't?

You work for FOX dontcha?

No you can do whatever you want. It just looks silly if you blast someone for spinning and distorting by doing your own spinning and distorting. If you would have put on your post "I just wanna be on my soapbox and don't want to hear anything that doesn't confirm my bias" then I wouldn't have wasted my time with any reply to you. I would have been happy not to have spent any time on it. I thought you genuinely didn't know that FNC and the WTVT Florida affiliate were not one and the same. I thought you might have wondered why competing stations supported WTVT. I thought you didn't know about the FCC statement in the case. I thought you didn't know that a Florida court can't change FCC policy and those FCC polices you mentioned are still in affect to this day. I thought you didn't know that the reporters involved didn't break the story and were not the first to it. Over 300 stories had been done before they got involved. I thought you may have not known that their producer thought they were actually plagiarizing other news reports. Or that WTVT requested supporting documents for their claims and wanted them to balance their piece with both sides of the story. Each time these two "reporters" threw a hissy until they were finally fired. I thought you didn't know that a TV station can't put improperly sourced accusations on the air without fear that their target could sue the hell out of them for defamation and easily win. I thought you were actually intellectually curious and not just wanting to regurgitate propaganda to fit some narrative. My mistake. But at least you learned from Jon Stewart to put the clown nose on and make it all out to be a joke when you get busted.

SICK BURN DUDER!!

Good good. I was getting worried.

Keep on defending the mainstream media, fight the bad fight, all that.

I got some extra laughs out of this as well, didn't expect folks to hike their proverbial skirt up and run around in a panic!

I should have started an Andrew Breitbart thread too! Well there is always time! Maybe Rush!

Anyone have a suggestion for a left wing-nut to add for flavor?

Correcting bad information or characterizations is not "defending" exactly. I've been stuck 'defending' people I don't even like because the information was just that bad. I can't pretend it's good just because I don't like the person anyway. If you had pulled the same number on MSNBC and attacked them based on something a local NBC affiliate was involved with then I would have related those facts as well. Being skeptical is good. But you need to be skeptical of the things that sound good to you as well. Which is the part most people skip. I'm not in a "fight" with any of the networks and not working for a 'cause' related to them.

What?
You are only doing what you claim FOXNEWS is doing while you're claiming to be unbiased.

I'll quote Havoc:
If you would have put on your post "I just wanna be on my soapbox and don't want to hear anything that doesn't confirm my bias" then I wouldn't have wasted my time with any reply to you.
If you want to go a rant, just then tell everybody you hate FOXNEWS and want to rant.

When you claim to be unbiased, you expose yourself.

We're all biased, that's human nature.

No, I do not support Obummer, will not vote for him. Not sure I will vote for either primary candidate at this point. When Goldman Sachs is one of your biggest donors, welp I have a problem with that. So what do I do, pick the lesser of the two evils, or throw away my vote to a 3rd party / write in.
Then, you're saying you WILL NOT vote against Obama other than to insure your vote will not help a candidate that can defeat him.

A throw away vote is an aid to Obama. Not voting is an aid to Obama.

Did you vote for Obama in 2008?

Rather got fired for directly lying to the American people on the 6 O Clock news about Bush, and CBS is dying a slow death just like NBC and CBS.

Rather sued CBS and lost. It was a ridiculous effort on his part.

Sorry guys, busy with life, but got back here for a bit.

Havoc, you really should start from the OP, you missed something, you are arguing with a live tv clip, and thats weird. Interpret the fox court ruling all you want, but she lost on appeal because no law was enforceable, not from the lack of distortion. You never even provided a source, for anything.
"The court held that Fox News had no obligation to report truthfully, and the First Amendment protects their right to lie. Therefore, the court held that firing a reporter for refusing to lie is not actionable under the whistleblower statute."
I have seen it argued from both sides and fox has the egg on their face in my opinion. Theres more distortion but thats not the point of the 'point and laugh' part.

Dilberstein, I have been voting on the lesser of two evils for a long time. I don't want my name attached to either criminal that gets a DEM or REPUB label. If you think Obummer is somehow vastly different from the last presidents from a political standpoint then please show a somewhat credible source for the position. All I have seen is more of the same. His healthcare turd is just the Bob Dole / Heritage Foundation endorsed plan basically. Call is BobDoleacare.

Dennis, Dan Rather didn't do his homework, (didn't check them sources) and paid the price he should have. Thats the price to pay for a national level smear attempt on capt. WMD's.

Bush really screwed the pooch with that whole WMD's / let's invade a country with no declaration of war thing. History won't be good to him thats for sure.

You are just repeating one side's spin as fact in both events. No interpretation on my part is needed. The Jury only agreed that she was fired for the threats she made. She then petitioned the FCC and they sided against her as well. She lost on all fronts but the lefty blog propaganda front. The reporters even had people donate to their cause. Then after they lost, they bought a $1.2 million mansion. No "right to lie" was actually argued. It's just face saving spin they use and you refuse to acknowledge what I quoted. That case is so old that if you don't have the facts by now you simply don't want them. That's fine, just don't waste my time or bore me with it.

Wow, I guess there really is a rift here.

If only you could provide a source that would disprove the 2 points in the OP.

Point 1: LOL look at FOX literally reading from the RNC Pundit Prep doc, then repeating the same thing!

You: Gretchen always looks like that.
You: This is Guilt by Association
You: You are appealing to authority via John Stewart.

Havoc, you missed the bus, missed the boat, and definitely missed the joke on that one. Pity, its a good one unless you are too invested in one of these stupid right/left all or nothing camps.

Point 2: FOX is not 'NEWS'. They are entertainment, no integrity. Links to FOX Whistle-blower scandal.

You: Attack the messenger, Ad Hominem a few times, rinse repeat.
You: Quote some things, type in some others, no sources given, ever.
Me: I post a quote, with no source, hoping you would notice the irony. It was lost instead.

Solid, honest debate could have tightened up the rift here, but it's pretty obvious where the gap is. There were a bunch of other problems, but those are the highlights. Please, bring that level game to a real message board with 150k users, it won't last long till you have to either play the debate game properly or just leave.

I will even buy you an account!

Cheers
