Futaba and 3gx
Hi all, i fly with a futaba tx /rx and have just got a 3gx gyro for my 700N chopper, is it worth using s-bus to set up, what are the advantages, is it worth it, or should i go with normal setup?

One more thing, if i use a normal setup, is there an advantage in using HS mode on reciever, , can the gyro cope with it?

I am using JR 8915 servos

I have both as well, if you already have a regular 2.4 7c rec. then use it. Sbus is will only help by using less wires. No performance gain with 3GX. On the other hand if you have cgy750 you will need an Sbus.

HS mode is fine for the servos seeing how the 3GX will be intercepting the signal and your servos are digital. but check to see if they can work with the 3GX. Are those re-badged 8717's?

Thanks Fun guy
I really like the Idea of less wires as I am also using a Gryphon REG , so there are going to Wiring delux , Nightmare to get all nice and neat, Crimping pliers already looking worried
okm, Then due to flat ignorance, I will go with a normal reciever on normal mode (not hs )
Yes I think they are 8717's rebranded, Have no idea why, I have read that some where, Great servos , just develop slop over 100 flights or so

One more Question , I am using a Gryphon Reg, Can I do the setup that only 5v is fed to the reciever and 3gx unit then into the reg to feed the servos 6v , That way the 3gx unit will not need to carry the full load that all the servos draw , Or is it better to put the 6v and full load through the 3gx unit?
