Seriously, are wireless printers reliable as hard wired printers.

I've had a HP5850 for 8 years and it still works great. When my router went up in smoke I had to buy an old one to get it to talk to the printer; the only draw back.

I like it because the printer can be convenient to one area with out wired capability. I use my LED 55 inch TV as my monitor so it all works great.

My $90 HP wireless printer is twice as reliable as any previous printer I've had. I see no drawbacks to having one, and would never go back to one with a cable if I can help it.

Reliable - no.
I've had an Epson Workforce 600 and it drops off the wireless network at least once a week.

I've had an Epson Artisan 810 for a few years now. I run it wireless but it will also do wired Ethernet if required. Works better than any previous printer I've owned. Great picture print quality too.

I have a HP6510 wireless printer and it's as reliable as any wired printer i've ever had. Reliability will only come if your wireless network is reliable too...
