Can you put any tooth pinion on any motor and will it fit any main gear????

I just bought a trex 450 motor and have a stock main gear but i need to buy a pinion for my motor and don't know what one to buy what are the differences i'm assuming the more or less they have the faster head speed you get??? just not sure which one

i use 2200MAH-2400MAH 3s batteries I would like 100% head speed i think thats what i use. My uncle helps a lot with the programing so i'm not that perfect for it.

i do sport flying and now i'm getting into 3d i have it down on my MCPX and i'm gonna start on my 450 or 500

the short answer is NO.the pinion hole diameter must match the motor shaft size and the pinion must be the right modulous or "mod"

now having said that, once you get to a specific heli things get a little more compatible.most 450's are a mod .7 so you dont need to worry about that and also most motors(not all) but most of the good motors in that class are a 3.2mm shaft.

there are many options advertised as far as pinions for the t-rex you just have to determine what headspped you want to run
