Sub $200 xxtreme packs
I'm a big fan of Thunder Power 65c but at $600 a pack I can have three of these to one of those.

What you need:

Your favorite combination of Gensace 30c 5300mah packs
Hobbypartz 30c gensace
I went with 2s and 5s because that is all they had in stock at the time. 3 + 4s would work fine
Some 7s taps, I got these
Epbuddy 7s

Start at a negative wire ( I chose the 5s) and move everything over to the new taps. I tried first to remove the pins from the connector but didn't get the first one out so I just soldered them up. Leave off the first red you come to (I just cut the wire and put heat shrink over the tip) and use the first black on the second battery instead.(Note the 2s and 5s have there main wires reversed so I went right to left on the 5s and left to right on the 2s. Just work black to red and you will be fine) Finish with the last red. Then connect the red from the first battery to the black on the second battery, I used a eflight 4mm bullet connector. Finally connect your ec5 or whatever to the two remaining leads.

Do not cut the entire old tap off all at once, the cutters will short the wires and you will get a pretty fireworks show. I cut one at a time, soldered it, then the next never having more than one live wire exposed at anytime.

Make sure your packs are equal charge state before connected them. Mine were brand new so I thought they would be, one pack took 2 hours to balance out the first time because the 2s pack had more charge. It now charges fast with no issues after the first charge.

On the plate and strapped to the heli there is very little clearance above and below the packs. I used then servo tape to stick them together, anything thicker and they would not fit the frame.

First few flights they performed excellent and came down cool.

I picked my Gensaces up during a 14% off sale so these were about $180 a piece including the taps and bullets. A say a piece but thats for a 14s1p pack... awesome deal as long as they perform.

I would worry using deans on this machine!

They can actually become unsoldered due to the high peaks, they are NOT made for the current this heli can pull.

That's why manual states 5.5 bullets I think, EC5 is Ok.

Sounds like a good idea.

Plus there is so much weight in these big cables and windsail in the canopy so it moves, deans can be pulled apart too easy.

Overall a better plan to go bigger for this.

I actually have done some tests on deans until failure, and its around the numbers you see on the XX.

I bought some 2s turnigy packs to go with the rest of my 2x 6s packs and it seems to do the trick just fine until I save up for a bunch of 7s packs

Wouldn't deans be fine up to the actual 14s connection at the esc

I put deans on my battery and ec5 on my esc. Don't know it matters where they are as all the power passes though all the connectors...KDS Agile 7.2/5.5 Chase 360 - SkyHero Spyder/Spy/Little Spyder

Good idea to use EC5 connectors on 12s and up in my opinion.

I love Deans too but as Mr. Mel said at these current levels, Deans were never intended for that type of use.
