If you have trouble setting this up than flybarless technology is not for you

That's ^^^ is a bit harsh.

The beasX was my 1st FBL unit, I love it until it dove my Avant straight left into the ground. I used the stock tape , and my chassis vibrated a lot. Fixed the vibes as much as I could, changed the tape and problem gone.

Eventually I found this video, a day late, a $ short.

A solution was to change the tape out to a thin 3M tape and strap the beast down tight. I know it sounds like it doesn't make sense, but I've done it with my heli and so have many others and the symptoms went away. My machine vibrates A LOT and is a non issue with the beastx.
I actually had the opposite result. Hard mounting my microbeast in my 700E gave me a sudden flip-over on spoolup problem that cost me a set of rotor blades (and could have been worse if I hadn't corrected it in time). I went back to the foam mounting pad supplied by BeastX and that fixed it. My 700E has a definite high speed vibration to it, noted by running it up on the bench with the blades off and feeling the BeastX on the mount. It's taking a surprising amount of buzz and still working fine.

I also use the foam pad on my 700 nitro with good results.

Anyway, you'll likely have to experiment with this, but I'd actually start off with the foam pad first. I think it'll be less violent with the pad rather than hard mounting if in fact their is a problem. Then if the pad gives trouble, hard mount it with the 3M tape.

Most occurences of vibration induced tip-overs on nitro Helis had happened with the stock tape.
It is funny that with you was the opposite, but then, you are the only person I know that had a head wobble with FAI and soft dampeners . Not saying it did not happen, but you are always more like the exception than the rule. LOL

Jason,

Once you set the flight characteristics you desire on Parameter B, you control the cyclic rate through the stick imput. This is true when control behavior is set on Transmitter mode

Then, You can use dual rate or atv to control the cyclic agility. The higher the pulse commanded, the faster the rotation.

You do not control the BeastX gyro gain from the trasnmitter as you would in a CGY750, but them once you set it correctly you don't change it. The gains are changed on the dials.
VBar allows you to set banks or modes for diferent rotor speeds or flying style like presets.
Thanks MPV, that was what I was fumbling around with trying to say.

Lol... yeah I never did figure my wobble on my nitro out, so I have no idea what was wrong. It went away when I went FBL so I quit debugging it and forgot about it - I think it might have been the lowering of the rotor disk with the FBL head is what cured it.

I still have my flybar heads stuck in a piece of styrofoam here in the apt lol...

And I don't know why my BeastX's work with the poofy foam pads whereas most guys have to hard mount. Probably just the vibration profile of my particular machines.

But I also have a roll of the 3M tape here too just in case...

I have two Aligh 3G's and two BeastX. While the Align units are adequate for my sport flying, the BeastX units are superior. And while the BeastX setup might seem lengthy, i.e., what color light/stick position through numerous steps, it's actually fairly straigh forward. My most recent BeastX setup was the combo receiver/controller from Spektrum. The first hover was stable, although the lousy weather recently here in Massachusetts has prevented additional flight testing. This build is going into a scale fuselage.

I thought the instruction booklet that came with the combo unit was an improvement over the original manual. And I'm so satisfied with this unit that I will buy another one.

Is the mounting tape issues any different with the ar7600BX?
does the added mass of the spektrum rx case help with vibration sensitivity?

"does the added mass of the spektrum rx case help with vibration sensitivity?"

help? Would not think so. If you are experiencing a slight or hard input left input use a strap to tighten it down and try it again.

If it stops it, then is the pad. If not, might be a swash trim issue.
