Vbar screens right in front of you, little pop ups that tell you what each setting does, even a wizzard that holds the users hand through each step easy peazy covergirl. Any of them are easy really.....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Back to the Beastx, I was a bit worried about the lights and buttons and all that but what I didn't want was a unit that required a computer. See, I do not own a laptop or a dedicated netbook just for my RC hobby. I did not relish the thought of having to drive ten minutes to the field, fly and drive back to hook my helicopter up to the computer to change something. For me, the Beastx solved that issue. I read the manual a few times and got at it. It is pretty darn easy but you have to follow it to the letter. Once you get through it, it is cake after that in my opinion. Once you set it up and set the unit to respond to the transmitter, it's all about adjusting endpoints in the tx. That seems pretty easy to me.

I have a friend who is going to get the new Radikal nitro heli coming out and he is going to use the CGY750. He has an 8FGH Super so I have to imagine the dedicated 750 menu will make that fairly easy to deal with and not be the usual Futaba make it harder than it needs to be just for the sake of being hard nonsense.

Looks like funguy's typing unit is doing lots of involuntary "pitching".

His keyboard may be suffering from retreating "B" stall.

LOL

I am sorry for that, my fault. We had this really hard to deal with female customer that refused to accept company policies. She was getting on our last nerve. I think I typed that subconciously. LMAO on the comments though.

Maybe I am not wording it right. I am not talking about initial setup. I am talking about how you set the beastx to be able to adjust flight characterizes from the transmitter and not using the preset setting in the beastx.

Jason,

Once you set the flight characteristics you desire on Parameter B, you control the cyclic rate through the stick imput. This is true when control behavior is set on Transmitter mode

Then, You can use dual rate or atv to control the cyclic agility. The higher the pulse commanded, the faster the rotation.

You do not control the BeastX gyro gain from the trasnmitter as you would in a CGY750, but them once you set it correctly you don't change it. The gains are changed on the dials.
VBar allows you to set banks or modes for diferent rotor speeds or flying style like presets.

The problem you're describing that the heli wants to drift left and act weird has been discussed to some extent. Basically the supplied tape is junk and a few people have had the same symptoms as you describe. A solution was to change the tape out to a thin 3M tape and strap the beast down tight. I know it sounds like it doesn't make sense, but I've done it with my heli and so have many others and the symptoms went away. My machine vibrates A LOT and is a non issue with the beastx.

If you search Ron's helipros, he made a youtube video about this exact issue and even sells the beast with 3M tape to his customers.
