Blades for a Kyosho Hyperfly
Hello All, I have a question for the heli experts. I have acquired a Kyosho Hyperfly. I would like to fly this rig but I am sure that I will crash figuring out to fly this thing. Paying some person on fleabay $1000 for some blades is out of the question.

So my big questions is it possible to use a conventional set of blades on the Hyperfly?

Does anyone have a suggestion for brand / size that may be a good match?

Blades for HyperFly
Try http://www.hobby king.com - on the left side, click on Helicopters - Parts, click on blades. 3 pages of blades come up, (some for under 4 bucks a set). the lists are in mm's. so measure your blades, and match up the length. You might have to enlarge a hole, add another, (I don't know how your grips are). I use 600's on my Heliboys, and I love'em. Good Luck with that HyperFly

I remember those things! Does yours still fly? I always wondered if they were worth the money when I would drool over the helicopter section of the Tower Hobbies catalog back in the day

@VKGT, I am unsure that my hyperfly will still fly. I have acquired this bird recently and I am still going though it. It still looks air worthy even though it is almost 20 years old. I am making some modifications like ditching the micro switch and using a speed control, better batteries and motor ect. I would like to use some conventional blades as the stock foam will explode if I spin them too fast. This model has seem to have gotten a bad wrap but after watching Dave Herbert's explanations on youtube. Like almost anything that is truly innovative most people don't understand and don't want to accept it. After I understood the innovation behind it I had to have one.

Urban, based off of andre's video I'm confident you can get that going! I always wanted one, that's a cool machine!

Andre, AWESOME video!! Glad to see that old bird flying! I wish they'd put one in realflight or something so I can get a crack at one. They're probably super hard to find at this point. Thanks for posting that video, made my day since I've never seen one fly
