Obama is good for economy
The markets are warming up to him, it's better to have consistency than uncertainty. It's better for businesses to know they will have to deal with more of the same bs than the uncertainty of a new prez.

Yeah right.

With home foreclosures at all time highs, gas prices setting records highs with no end in sight, food prices showing signs of nasty inflation, millions still out of work that are not counted, record numbers on food stamps, home values decreasing at record rates.

But, the stock market goes up.

Anyone see whats going on here?

Scarey : At one time for extended periods - the throughout 90's - markets floated at 70's and we made hard $$ hand over fist -

The Bill's were PAYED--- all business personal and private was cash.
If you had it you could buy it - if you didn't you couldn't : SIMPLE.

We smelled this a LONG time ago -- " Here' come's Jimmey Penut : Farmer AGAIN ! " Been Their Done That " that one and NOT Doing it AGAIN

We thought when we saw' the 10's this is going NUT's and It's fun but absolutely unsustainable -- HE's Knocking and That GOAT HErder and his tribe are responsible. Better DIG IN and Hang ON !!!

No I don't. What is going on? Possibly the GOP which is backed by the oil industry is have them raise prices to help get a democrat out of office? The Dow and Nasdaq are seeing record numbers. Maybe the GOP is causing the stock market to rise so they can make more money for their election campaign?

What is your theory Dennis?

Then, Bush raised gas prices so that the Dems could take over the Senate during his last 2 years.

??????

Wall Street is the biggest campaign contributer to the Democrats right now.

Are you figuring it out yet?

The reason the markets are going up is more or less pent up inflation. This is all of the capital that was provided in your bailouts, QE's and money printing out of thin air.

With the fed holding rates at near zero, investors are forced to put their capital into risker assets to get a return. The volume of the market is muted and only big players are in.

Bond, treasuries, CD's etc.. dont pay any return, so where else to invest? Stocks and commodities.

As soon the rates come up, you will equities sell off and thats when all of this money in the market makes it into the marketplace, along with inflation on a large scale.

This is not a republican or democrat thing, this is a federal reserve and crony capitalism issue.

As soon as individual investors come into the market they are going to lose their ass because big players are going to move their money. Watch what Bernake does closely. Also watch in March when Iran starts requiring alternate forms of payment over the US Dollar. (Like gold) Countries will start rushing to cash in their dollar reserves they set aside for energy. More devaluing capital that is entering our economy.
