Starwood will be closing.
Due to medical reasons Starwood Scale Models will be closing. Customers who have already placed orders through the Starwood or Vario website, we will complete these orders and they will be sent out shortly. To all of our customers who have purchased Starwood or Jakadofsky products, we will be announcing a new distributor on our website where you can continue to buy Starwood and Jakadofsky products, parts and accessories.

Customers looking for Vario products are encouraged to visit East Coast Scale Helicopters.

We would like to sincerely say:

Thank you!

To all of our customers that we have done business with over the years. We have met many fantastic people in the model helicopter community who have been inspired to build some of the finest scale model helicopters.

Inquiries should be sent to al@starwoodmodels.com and we will do our best to assist you.

Al Wert

This is definitely sad news on both counts.
Losing a great company that has supported the hobby so professionally and about the medical issues.

Our prayers are with you that you get well very soon!!

I always dreamed of building a large scale model ever since seeing a photo of Len Mount's. Al Wert and Dr. Tim made that dream possible. I've now found myself sucked into building another and I blame Al for that.

It was the best shop in the business.

How can I start, what a loss for our entire RC scale helicopters community. I spoke with Al this afternoon and the Dr. prognosis is not good at all.
I learn so much from Al, he is my mentor and most important my dearest friend.

All I can say thank you Al for all the inspiration, support and friendship you have given to all of us with open heart.

I am looking forward to see you next week and anything you need I am here.

Your friend always,

Gonzalo
