Pulse LiPo 5000mAh, 65c packs
I have searched on RR for any info about Pulse packs but I never have very much luck searching on this site so I'm gonna throw it out there. Has anybody flown or is currently flying these packs? If so, what are your thoughts / opinions.

My Spyder packs have almost 300 flights and my Volts have a little over 200 flights so I am in the market for new batts!!

Thanks

Used the same 65c 5000 on a 550 Align BeastX with 110hv, scorpion 4020 1390 goved to 2400 and 2550 in idle 2. Mostly flew it in idle two. They are very puffed after 15 flights. I call it "Puff Daddy," they still have the power though. Way better than Voltz for sure. Try your luck with Gens ace or Turnigys, at least you can get more packs for the price and that equals more flight time. I also bought a new pulse 3300 45c for my 500 plus. I also own a used one, they are holding up nice. I bought also a transmitter pack which noting short of garbage wrapped in fancy decals.

Definitely Gens Ace packs for sure. I never got around to trying the Spyder packs but I like the new stick packs they've got.

Spyders are GREAT packs (I have another set of 6s packs with WELL OVER 300 flights on them) but there isn't anything above 30c. I know, I know. Some of you are freaking out right now saying that the C rating doesn't "really" matter but put any 30c pack up against a TP or Hyperion 65c pack and tell me that there isn't a difference!! I have flown both so I speak from experience!!Team me

I just retired a GensAce 6s5300 at 9 months of service and 91 cycles. Capacity of one cell dropped off to about 3380mah, which is why I retired it. It was charged 2C (3C perhaps a half dozen times), and always put at the 3.85v storage level at the end of each session.

Ten cycles per month is about average for me because I fly several machines. Those of you who fly more frequently would probably have gotten more cycles out of this lipo. I am not unhappy with it, as my standard for battery life is cost per flight as compared to nitro.

Although I'm new to this sport I started out with Pulse and they are doing good for me. I have the 65C 6S 2600mHa packs and charge them at 3C with no problems at all. They say on their web site that you can charge at 5c but I don't have a battery charger that produce that amp requirement.

That's my 2 cents.

@ 400 flyer

I don't know if you can compare Spyder to TP as the chemistry is different but for a 30c pack, the Spyders are amazing. I have used Spyders for almost 3 years and I have had AT LEAST 200 cycles on every pack I have ever used and have never had a cell go bad. I have flown the TP 65c packs and they ROCK but at $250.00 PER pack, a 12s pack gets expensive if you are wanting multiple sets of batts!!

@ SGM Retired

I may just try them out. At $157.00 per pack, it's almost worth trying out!!

My first few spyder packs where amazing, but I got two 6S 4000mAh for my logo 600 and after 50 flights within a couple of months one cell puffed big time. I understand that happens to all brands, but the issue I had was I tried to contact the new owner about the issue and got zero response.Skids Up

That sucks to hear as I was hoping the business merger would be a smooth one and the same excellent customer service would be passed down. Kevin ALWAYS took care of us if there was an issue and he was a great guy to deal with!!Team me

Bert rocked those Voltz packs, too... Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

Yeah, lol, trust the pros, they'll sell you poo on a stick and tell ya it's caramel pop. I can say I have tried them all, all I will say is I'll stick to my tried and trued Hobby City, thunder power, and ocasionally rip on TP packs.
