Snuck In!!!!
Good group, and it looked like 9 or 10 registered pilots this morning, even with the bum weather.. but we did hang in there, till we got a break!!!
A few of us did get to sneak a flight in before the rains came back...so it looks like we will be there on Sunday... supposed to be a LOT better then today!!! We will just have to wait and see!!!
At least we got to meet some new RR members...still fun...
So later today, Coptercptn with his wife, Tootall with his wife and Doorman (5th wheel:rolleyes are going to terrorize a local eating establishment called Jacks Stack BBQ in Martin, Kansas... says they are the best in the NATION and we are going to go and find out!!!!
So if anyone else wants in let us know!!!!! Actually, contact coptercptn since I am going to take a nap!!! You know how us OLD Guys get, but that does not include Jim!!!!

Regardless of the rain today wasn't a bust. A few of us got some flights in and enjoyed ourselves. Tomorrow is looking much better so be looking for pictures and video. I got a couple minutes if Doorman flying his "small" scaler, I'll get it downloaded shortly.

It was great to put a face with screen names/voices on the other end of the phone.

See ya'll tomorrow!!

Before the sky began falling...
A few pictures from early Saturday, before the rains started. There are some really nice helis here, and the field facilities are first class.

We fought a slowly leaking tire the last three hours on the way. After 73K miles it was probably time to replace all four. Seemed like a good way to spend ($$$) a very rainy afternoon.

Sunday should be dry, and hopefully not too windy. More pics to come.

We ended up with 25 registered pilots, 19 scalers, about 20+ pod n boom helis from local members and visiting clubs. I'm working on getting my vids and pics uploaded, there were plenty of great looking heli to be seen.

Good Time and Good People!!!!
So the weather wasn't exactly with us, BUT we did get to fly a bit each day...
I just wanted to say thank you to all the folks that came out and supported Christophers efforts.. it was really great to meet the club members, visitors and to be able to meet and put a face with a LOT of the RR members too...
This event has all the potential to grow quickly and I hope to be able to bring a few "bud's" with me to next years event..
Again, thanks for the hospitality, and good luck to all you guys just stepping into the scale side of RC HELI's... the REALLY DARK SIDE

Finally Home and rested a bit..A chance to reflect on the weekend..What a great time!!
Weather aside (and there's not much ya can do about it anyway) what a fun event!! Chris and all his crew are the nicest bunch of folks!!
My wife and I were talking on the way home, and after seeing what is up and coming.. it looks like another (better) rebuild and detail is in order for the Huey if I expect "any" podium apperances next year in scale.. The boys from MO. know how to "bring it"..
Of course I "do" have another build (or2) in the works... So
we expect to see you guys in Muncie..AND Dalton!!!

But Thanks again to Chris and all that helped get this event on the map!!! Looking forward to next year...
