Laid Back Scale, Kansas City Mo
Put it on your calendars.......

Oct 13 & 14 KC Heli is hosting it's second annual Laid Back Scale event at our Longview flying field in Kansas City MO. I'll post further details once they're available concerning nearby accomodations for those that need them, landing fee, ect.

I hope that those of you that couldn't make it make last year can come this year. It's a great way to close out the flying season. Cool air, not windy, no competitions. Good food, good flying, good times with good friends.

Do the birds have to be scale? The wife and I might be in the neighborhood around then.Once you try steak, is hard to go back to hotdogs.

If we're within 100 or so miles then consider us there. Once you try steak, is hard to go back to hotdogs.

We're coming
October is a good time of year to have a fun fly. You can count our group in. If you need help let us know. Sound system, big tent or anything that will make the Kansas City event better.

Laid Back Scale is coming up in a few months!! This year it will be Oct 13 & 14. Just like last year its going to be a laid back event. No competitions, just like minded pilots hanging out and flying together. All sizes and sorts of scale helis welcome. I hope to see some of that couldn't make last years event.

We'll be flying from dawn to dusk both days. Like last year we'll provide burgers, brauts, hot dogs and drinks. Landing fee is $15. For directions to the field once in the city feel free to email or PM me. You can also visit http://www.kcheli.org, go to the flying field tab and directions are at the bottom.

There are a couple of nearby hotel with decent rates for any of you staying for both days.

Holliday Inn Express 816-268-5858 12801 South US HY 71 Grandview MO. 64030

Rodeway Inn 816-331-0300 15201 South US 71 HY Grandview mo 64030

Hope to see a number of you there, this is great time to get together and close out the flying season.

For those not flying scale but wanting to attend please feel free to show up. The field is two sided so we accomodate both disciplines of flying without fear or worry.

Getting Close!!!!
Hi there Christopher J,

Just thought I would give your event a little bump to the front page.. I am going to have a very busy Sept with Darrell, with Dalton first, following weekend Triple Tree in NC, then the following weekend Triple Tree again for an all electric event, then finally back home for a week or so and then I am still planning on being at your event... I also had a pile of fliers at IRCHA for you....
Looking forward to meeting you and all the others in your area...

Due to local conversation and misunderstanding Im going to clear something up. This is a scale funfly but there is a lot of interest from sport and 3D fliers about the event so it is open to them to attend as the field is two sided. The scale guys will be flying off the airplane side of the field. Pilots with pod n boom machines that are scale and pattern flying are fine on the same side with the scale pilots, those flying 3D will have the other side.

Food will be provided. We will have brauts, dogs and burgers. Along with a good relaxed, enjoyable time.

Thank goodness! I was worried about trying to take off with the airwolf on the west side. I can't even remember who told me it was going to be the other way around. I do remember telling them that could not be right and wouldn't make any sense.

Speaking of the Airwolf its finished and I will try to fly it Saturday at minor. Was thinking about today, but to much to load and work lol!
Have fun while it last!
