NEW GUY
ok y'all well i been out of it a while and NEED to get back flying again. finally have a pretty decent job and some cash to burn. i miss flying nitros and thinking of grabbing a velo 50. is the v1 really all that bad that i need to get the new one or is the v1 sufficient. not looking to get crazy again but i need something that will handle funnels etc. I'm thinking of this setup

velo 50 quark combo
ds610 cyclic and throttle
jr8900 tail or ds650
os 50
header tank for sure so go with fule mag and a management system?
gy401 gov or what do y'all suggest
radix 600's
rage 30%
dx7 or jr 9303

please shed some light on my situation. starting from scratch all over again so i want to keep it under 1k (if thats even possible) will not be going full on 3d until i get comfortable again (don't think i ever really lost it)

want to buy the kit new for sure unless there is just a deal to good to pass up on a used setup. y'all let me know what you think!!

The V1 Velocity is plenty good. I just upgraded but just did so cuz I've had mine awhile and was ready for all new. Anyway I like your list except the 600mm blades. I've flown both and the 620's have way more pop and really make the heli float nicely. I had the 9303 and really loved it. I now the 9503 but just cuz I got a really good deal from a friend. I would run the ar7100r so you can use the gov on that and the built in regulator. Good luck.No changes are permanent but...change is.

Yes the edge 623's are very good. 9503 is sweet too. The outrage servos are insane. I think you'll really like this heli.

I would go with vbar full size instead especially since you are going to use either a spektrum or jr radio. With it you can cut down on some wiring and dont need the reciever. All you need is a couple of satillites and just plug them into the vbar and you have a lot less clutter. Also with the vbar there is a lot of good help on here. I have 2 of them and also a cgy 750 which is very good too. Problem with the 750 is you need the adapter to use it with jr and that is a wiring mess. Vbar is prolly the best flybarless unit out there not saying the futaba and HC are not good also but it seems that vbar is the class of the feild. Also as far as the motor goes we have the os 55 hzr which is a regulated carb on it and that thing just runs flawlessly. Lots of power and dependable as you can get. They do cost a little more but well worth it.Ryan,Team JR, Team Morgan Fuels, Team KDE Direct, RCBearings.com Tech Rep

Just run 600's on FBless. Don't run Edge, they are pretty crappy. Try SAB's they track much, much better than Edge.Cool Power Fuels
