yep, I auto my Trex-250 frequently (not always successfully!) and it has a 'non-driven tail' meaning the tail stops spinning when I hit throttle hold. works just fine as long as you are going straight into the wind. That's the issue with the 250 if there is any side wind it kills the auto. a head wind really helps a lot.

I learned auto's with a Raptor that did not have a driven tail (red belt gear). It actually makes it easier because the main rotors don't have to expend energy spinning the tail blades.
