I'm amazed you've stuck it out as long as you have articcat (and others) I would've kicked them to the curb a long time ago as I was once treated similarly by another heli company not standing behind their product and a manufacturer defect resulting in a crash. I know this is only a 'hobby' but it cost real money and I feel it is a customer service industry where making the customer happy with the product should be #1. Not everyone in this hobby is so rich (nor should you have to be to enjoy the hobby) than they can blow $600 for a kit that they can't enjoy for its advertised purpose and have to buy other helicopters (or lose hundreds to sell used) just so they can fly.Still buyin' and flyin' then crashing and cryin'

Digging up one from the archives, does anyone know if this tail vibration /misdrilled tail yoke and or slider issue was fixed?

I can't shake (ha, ha no pun intended) vibration. It's got a loud harmonic Humm to it and the tail supports are buzzing badly.

Like all the above posters here, Heli Flys great aside from the tail vibration.

Thx
Rick

Ps: on a side note, does anyone know where to buy an 11t mod.1 6mm pinion?

When I owned a F6 I chased vibration problems for over a year. I was finally told by someone at MA to change the pinion gear to an aftermarket pinion. Just an fyi. May want to consider trying a different brand pinion.Enjoy things that money can buy IF you don't lose the things money can't buy.

Check my post under "Crappy Tail". I know it starts with a rant, but I calmed down and started looking at fundamentals. Most of which have been addressed in this thread. But the spacer used to mount the tail rotor bellcrank seemed to have a very pronounced effect. The bearing mounts were being squeezed under tension causing the tail shaft support bearings to bind under speed and load. Next was the out-of-round parts. The brass slide bushing,I wound up making my own out of some solid brass rod, the plastic hub the bellcrank attaches to, and the yoke. The yokes problem was the finishing touch. One of the arms that attach to the tail blade grip was not drilled square / perpendicular to the tail shaft causing the tail blades to not track correctly. I put the upgraded yoke assy. with the ball bearing supported arms on the tail. I fly at head speeds ranging from 1950-2250 with no noticeable vibes in flight. The tail fin is not a blurr anymore. Everything is amazingly smooth and stable.

Looks like I diagnosed the issue. My buddy found it. Looks like my yoke is drilled off center. My other friend brought some of his spares for me to pick from. He had complete new tail assy. His brand new yoke was worse then mine. Gonna talk with MA tomorrow.

Anyone have the pro slider upgrade? How do you like it?

S76 Mech- That's the upgraded tail yoke assy I put on my F-6. It works like a charm. A little hard to accept the price of it, but it was going to be my last resort. M A seems to be aware of these issues, but Jeff told me that they have inventory to use up first before committing to making new parts. He has apologized a couple of times because most of their parts are from an outside contractor. You would think some sort of incoming inspection would be called for due to the outside source of material. Like a lot of folks have said about the tail... It didn't seem to affect the way it flew, only in a hover is where it was very noticeable.

Yeah, They look like figure "8's". They're machined aluminum and bearing supported at each end.

I fixed mine by putting a Whiplash tail shaft and slider on it. Kind of a pain to do and has a number of downsides in practice, but 200 flights later on with no vibes makes me happy...

Finally fixed my bird. It is completely vibe free. Had a flight on it last weekend to confirm and it was awesomely quiet. It was the pitch slider out of round. Ordered up a new one it was much better. Glad its fixed finally.

Now to beat on her.
