Thanks for the link. Those 3 helis on the bench are all mine. I was standing in the background during the filming of the interview with Gonzalo. My 15 minutes of fame...

All helis and planes have an expiration date stamped on them...you only find it after you crash!!

WOW!!!

beautiful scalers and a great event by a master scaler in his own right.

My oldest daughter lives in California so I just have to plan my next visit around the dates of next year's event.

Now if I can talk Emile into a LONG road trip...

thanks for sharing the pics and videos.

I had a good time last weekend. Gonzalo did a fantatstic job organizing the event. We did have less helicopters at this years event, but we had allot more flying models. Just about every model that was at the event flew at one point or another. We had two flight stations going non-stop on Saturday. The line at the flight stations was at times 3 or 4 models long, meaning that's how many were lined up to fly for that one particular flight station.

The jet copter that was designs by Al Wert was amazing. It was impressive how much that thing could lift, yet it was very quiet. The orange tub that it picked up was a 55 gallon drum that was cut in half. I say next year they put a 10 gallon Bambi bucket on it!

Looking forward for next years HSM. Started working on two projects that I hope will be done for next year's event. A century sea king with 5 blade head and tail rotor, and a Vario 212 with Xcell gas mechanics.

For those of you that are thinking of coming out next year it is well worth it. The field is in the middle of no where. But it's close enough to other tourist attractions. That weekend is also Fleet Week in San Francisco. So if you come out next year make a short drive to SF and see the Blue Angels and several other military jets fly over the Golden Gate bridge and the Bay Area. The two events will definitely make a long trip worth it.

Thanks for putting together the event last week it was decent! Hey guys I think we need to see more custom fabrication in these heli's. lets see some really trick paintjobs. I would like to see pictures of the full scale next to the model to show how good you can copy the original Heli. On the Huey's how about a scale head instead of being flybared ? Hide those mechanics and do some fabrication not just purchasing bolt on parts! I just can't hide my passion for making these beauty's look as real as possible.
