Sometimes we have obligations that, unfortunately, are more important than flying...I know, I know...but it's true

We missed you also Pascal!

Some of us were discussing the EXPO function for throttle and pitch curves in the DX8, at the field yesterday...I found this thread quite interesting. https://rc.runryder.com/t729660p1/

In case you didn't know this about your DX8 (as none of us did)...

I couldn't make it out to the flying field last night, but I did take advantage of the great weather by flying my mCPx around my back yard. I was able to fly some circuits and practice some nose-in hovering and flying.

I'm MUCH more comfortable flying new moves with this heli than my 500. I had to hit TH a few times but there was never any damage. It's a real squirrly little heli but a great learning tool.

I don't know if I'll be able to fly any this weekend, weather and schedule depending.

Ken

A successful flight is nothing more than a series of failed crashes.

Well I had to pay normal price for my goblin motor. I was watching like a hawk as all the fathers day sales started and everyone was showing out of stock even before.

Really great flying today Old Hippie! Your moving along much faster that most. You'll have that logo doing loops before our next open house.

Have fun while it last!

Guy's FYI. I have had a problem with my Chaos 600 since day 1 with the copter shaking after lift off. Some times it would fly ok but most times the whole copter would shake, not tail rotor wag but the whole airframe. I found that if I would take off and it shook I would land and take off 2 or 3 times then it would stop shaking and then be ok for the rest of the flight.
I got on the web site chat room for the chaos helicopters and presented this problem to them. I told them that everything was balanced and that every thing was straight. There responce was that the head speed was to slow, that it should be 1900 rpm or above. I do not know what head speed it was turning but I had the throttle curve set at 65% at mid stick as I am still getting use to the larger size copters. I changed the throttle curve 80% and viola the copter is now as smothe as a baby's butt. Just wanted to present this info in case someone else has this problem in the future.

Wednesday is the day! FEDEX will be here with???
With what? I can tell you it will be Yellow, but will it be a 500,630 or a 700? We will have to wait and see. A new bird will be striking at the field.
