Wind Sock
Looks like the Wind Sock finally packed it in! It just couldn't take the pressure like other things that have come and gone! It appears to have been ripped to shreds by the winds and will need to be replaced. It was due anyway, made from inferior material, it just couldn't handle the elements. It has been removed and will be replaced with a more suitable version. Out with the old, in with the new! Burning ceremony to follow.....

Pics of the damage:

Had a lot of fun today! Great seeing everyone! This week with the weather I think I will fully reprogram the helicommad. I think it would be best sense it technically is not the same gyro anymore (going from base to extreme) I tightened my belt, mine was really loose compared to Dennises. One question I had is what the max pitch everyone is running on the logo's with 600 blades?

Have fun while it last!

Some more pictures for today
Pictures from today. The light was challenging for the camera too, and quite a few pictures came out too dark. These are the better ones... David and I shared the camera.

Another great day at the field... My TRex 600 did fly great after properly re-soldering the leads between ESC and motor. First loops, rolls and inverted today with an heli that big. Pretty happy.

Micah, Dennis, Daryl, Sean and David were at the field. I believe we all had a great time. BTW, the tarp wrapping the shelter had already been removed when I showed up: thank you guys... A good sign that the winter is behind us...

Some more great photos you got there, Pascal! Nice work!

I considered coming out to the field yesterday, but I decided to play it lazy(er) and played indoors instead. I'm also looking forward to this Saturday and the KCPD visit.

Too bad about the wind sock... It's funny how some things just go bad on you without warning like that. Oh freakin' well. Stuff happens.

Guy's I did the motor mod on my 130 and it is night and day. It is so smooth now and I am sure I will not strip another main for a while. I also lowered the gain on the swash. Now I don't have the little wiggle when ever leveling out.

Remember I have lots of indoor space to play lol!

New bird
Check out my new bird. I bought it from hobby king.
It looks like a fun time for Longview. I hear they have great thermals out there. Should be fun and relaxing after a hard days work!

It seems the more kits they have been putting out the dies have gotten out of whack. The motor has slowly gotten farther away from the main gear. After I moved the electronics on mine I could see that the motor was just barely hitting the main gear. I took the motor out and used a exacto knife to enlarge one of the holes for the motor. Now it has the perfect mesh and everything is moving so smooth.Have fun while it last!
