Cool videos, Nader!

Not trying to compete (and I doubt this qualifies at all), but just for fun, here's a video I recorded of the Bell 407 that I fly in my X-Plane simulator. Enjoy!

(Watch full-screen and in HD if you can. It looks best that way.)

Yeah, I remember those days, Chet! I was in junior high when I saw it running for the first time on an IBM machine in one of the science teacher's offices. (Back when it was still branded by "subLOGIC", before Microsoft bought the license to port it over to DOS PCs.) I thought it was the coolest thing ever!

I ran the subLogic version on my Commodore 64, with the giant 10MB external hard drive...I remember thinking, what will I ever need that much storage space for?

Thanks Pascal I replaced the Talon 90 with the Edge 120 on my Logo 550 and it flew great this afternoon at Minor. I just couldn't get the Talon 90 to work at all. Using the Edge 120 stock out of the box worked like a charm. I was determined to get the Mini Var to work one way or another. Thanks for your help.I just finished reading "the last chapter of whats the use/ or how to fly Helicopters"

Actually, that was not even my first computer.
I had one of these with a whopping 2K of RAM, and an external cassette tape player from Radio Shack for storage.

My first computer was a Timex Sinclair 1000 too! We bought it at Scaggs in Raytown and returned it pretty quickly and got a Commodore 64. I learned to program 6502 assembly on it.
A successful flight is nothing more than a series of failed crashes.

The 600 went in hard today, broken mains, tail boom, all gears, canopy, landing gear, and bottom part of frame. This was caused by the Helicommand HC-3SX P.O.S controller. It flew ok while upright and while doing most flips, but every once in a while doing a flip it would go crazy. This past week the copter has went in 3 times because the P.O.S controller went crazy! The bailout feature would work and upright the copter, but when you released the bailout button it would go full negative pitch, press the button again and it would go up release button and get full negative pitch,I could not get the unit to stop pogoing so I hit throttle hold and put it in the first time. I went over all the settings again and took it up two days later and the same thing happened any time it went inverted it went crazy and crashed!
The third time I deleted everything in the radio and reset the controller back to factory defaults, and went thru the set up again. Today I got 3 flights all just flying upright, but once in a while doing flips it would throw in a bunch of alleron control when it went inverted, messing up the completion of the flip. The last straw was when the copter was put into inverted and held their that it went crazy and could not recover before slaming into the ground. I no longer trust this P.O.S controller and am going to send it back to Helicommand, before someone gets badly hurt or even possiably killed,by this CRAZY P.O.S
guaranteed not to rust, bust, collect dust, rip, slip,or tare
