I thought that it was a TX also when I first looked, but decided it must be a mouse pad that looks like a TX box...surely they didn't give us a Vcontrol also.

I'm not at home now so I will check the box from MikadoUSA when I get back. I opened the box in a hurry so I didn't check out all the contents closely?

I just finished reading "the last chapter of whats the use/ or how to fly Helicopters"

Sooo... I found out how to use the "Cycle" feature of my iCharger 206B... is it supposed to take 2 hours to discharge a battery this way? Actually, I take that back, I let it run for 2.5 hours and it was only down to 4.09 during the discharge part of the cycle. (It took about 30 minutes to charge it up to 4.20.) Is there a setting that will make it discharge faster?

I was going to run the motor without blades, but I heard that would take a really long time to discharge a battery that way... long time compared to what?

Good news is, I plugged in a battery and all the servos were going in the correct direction right from the get go! Throttle works too. Now I just need to hook up the Castle Link and figure that thing out...

Ummm...

Okay, I don't really understand the CastleLink thing. Anyone know how to set it up so I can just use the throttle curve in my radio to set the RPM and still be governed by the ESC?

I used the "Set RPM" option in the software, but no matter what RPM I put in the box, it says to use a flat 70% throttle curve. Shouldn't that percentage change as I increase the desired RPM value in the box?

Darren: 3 head speeds at 3 fixed throttle curve values. That is how it works. To change the head speed, you have to do it through the PC software.

Nader: I so want the remote

Guys: just came back from Germany and found 5 x $10 coupons from HeliProz as prizes for the fun fly. It looks like a really good year from a prize standpoint!

How what works??? You mean if I want it to run at 1900 rpm, I can set my throttle curve flat at either 30, 70, or 100% and it will always be governed at 1900 rpm?

I just downloaded two documents from Castle that cover setup of governor mode and setting fixed endpoints... I think I'm just tired and need to read them again tomorrow.

Going to bed.

I never could figure it out either, Darren.

I only know I won't try to set one up again, without Pascals help...he seems to have Castles mastered.

@Darren
The CC governor will kick in at only 3 throttle curve values: 30, 70 and 100. You can assign any headspeed within the range of your set up to these throttle curve values in the CC software.

I would typically do:
Normal mode: 0, 30, 30, 30, 30; say 1700 Head Speed; the (0, 0%) point will allow you to arm your ESC
FM1: 70, 70, 70, 70, 70; say 1850 Head Speed
FM2: 100, 100, 100, 100, 100; say 2000 Head Speed

Hope it helps,

Darren if you select simple up near the top of the page all that other stuff will be ignored and you can set your head speed with the setting in the transmitter I think said it trys to maintain whatever the head speed is when it finishes spooling up on the ground. I get a little tail twitch when it is ready.
