It doesn't look like I'll be in the air with my 500 this weekend. I'm converting to DFC and it looks like I'll need 6x12x4 bearings for the grips. I suspect the old ones are stuck inside the old grips I took off. I'll bring it to the field to get some other opinions. Grr...

Did you try heating the grips? I've read that you can heat them with a hair dryer or heat gun, or put them in the oven at about 130F for a few minutes and the bearings will come right out...hmmm not sure though if your have plastic grips.
I'll see if can find where I read that.

Ken I have four spare bearings you can score. Why does it feel like I am dealing drugs lol! heating them up is a great way to get them out, but not if you plan on reusing them.

Have fun while it last!

Guess that would depend on how much you heat them. What harm does heating the grips do?

I don't know if any of my Logo friends have seen this or not but here is a video of the Mikado offices and warehouse. They almost have as many parts as Trashman.

Watch at YouTube

I just finished reading "the last chapter of whats the use/ or how to fly Helicopters"

Micah, that's awesome! They were the original bearings, so replacing them is probably in order. I put in a new feathering shaft and thrust bearings and dampeners while I was rebuilding the head.

Yeah, I was a little concerned about heating them. I'm sure they're subjected to more heat during flight, in the form of friction, but I'm not a mechanical engineer so I wouldn't know.

I'll see you guys on Saturday!

I will not blame Trashman for having many parts as he is bailing me out on my crashed Logo 500 while what I need is out of stok at ReadyHeli. Thank you again Trashman, and Raptorman as well who agreed to help me with a 25mm tail boom.
