Saturday fly in
I will be bringing my big generator and power supply so we electric
guys can charge our batteries. Sounds like it will be a good time.
Don't forget your lawn chairs and tables. A few of us will be bringing hamburgers and buns. If any of you guys want to bring food
that would be great. Maybe Dennis B. will bless us with some more of that world famous homemade bread.

Saturday event
Dodge: Looks like the long range forecast gives a pretty good chance for rain on Saturday. The fun fly may devolve into an indoor show-and-tell event. Is there a commons area where we could set up some tables for that sort of thing if it comes to that? Is there space enough for some folks to fly tiny indoor helicopters? Maybe folks that own small helis can bring them, just in case.

Here's hoping it doesn't rain but an alternative activity would give the residents something to see if it isn't flyable, especially if K.C. Heli members bring some of their scale stuff.

Hey guys you better check with the wife first before you make a commitment to fly on Easter Sunday. You might have to dress up like an Easter Bunny and hide some eggs. Lets just hope the rain holds off.I just finished reading "the last chapter of whats the use/ or how to fly Helicopters"

No Easter plans for me. Hmm... looks like I might have to bring my Kindle with me to the field on Sunday then, so I have something to read between battery cycles.

Cool! I guess the 650-mile "buffer zone" works to my advantage.

Yeah, my nearest family members are about 650 miles from KC, in north central Indiana. Leaves me exempt from nearly all "family functions".

Weelll, 650 is not quite right... it's actually about 620~625, I think. Give or take a few. I kept track on my odometer once when I made the trip, and I think that's what it came out to be.

I can get an estimate from Google maps, but that always seems to come up shorter than reality.
