Im looking to get an answer from a JR rep/expert flyer and or from anyone else who has expert knowledge in these HV servos. A lot of guys are running these JR 8917hv or other hv servos on 2s lipos which have 8.4v fully charged (which they are designed to run on) but Horizon Hobby's tech support is telling me that i can't run them at 8.4v regulated, or i will burn out the servo motor. I do not beleave that they will handle 8.4v un-regulated from a 2s lipo but will burn out when regulated at 8.4v. I am using a Western Robotics Hercules Super BEC with a switchable voltage of 5.3v, 6v, 8.4v, or 9v. If Western Robotics has one of the best bec on the market, why don't they have an option of 7.4v on the bec if all the JR techs are saying to run at 7.4v max regulated? IT JUST DOES NOT MAKE SENSE TO ME !!
