You're going to need clearance from air traffic control to fly that thing!

I got a question, if the wife was out of town then who took the pics of you and the heli parts? The GF??

J/K, I'm curious what a regular guy like most of us on here think about it after a yank on the sticks and not the pro's reviews. I am sure you will be very impressed with it.

Thoughts on the build and Successful Maiden!!!!
The build was smooth and only had two small hiccups. The tail grip balls screw dirctly into the plastic grips. They did not seem secure to me so I epoxied them in.....done. I also was missing the three screws that hold the anti rotation bracket in but I had plenty of ones that would work so that did not slow me down
I chose to modify the electeonics tray by putting a small hole in it that allowed me to route the wiring better and I would suggest Mikado consider that idea if there is a revision. It made the wiring sooooo much easier. I was also able to run all the wiring inside the frames and keep it clean. I was impressed that Mikado added all the little stuff everyone else used to complain about not having with a oremium kit. They added the wire braid for the ESC, Carbon composite servo horns for JR AND Futaba, as well as wire ties, rubber battery straps, and a blad holder.
The drive train is solid and smooth. Mikado managed to create a belt/TT system that is elegant but strong and the main gear is HUGE. Great build, and the parts finish was excellent.
The maiden was sucessful!!! I am GLAD I perform preflight checks routinely and MrMel just advised me to. I set the VBAR up and chose my sensor orientation. When I INSTALLED the sensor, I mounted it Exactly backwards! So when I checked the sensors....they were backwards one click of the mouse and that was fixed so I headed off to the field.
Eo19 (Eric), Al Austria, and Todd Dewey all showed for support. I got the heli ready to go and then realied that there were at least 5 people in the flying area and the light was dwindling. Luckily they all finally moved and I spooled up the beast.
This heli is smooth, and just flat BRUTAL. It has plenty of power and by the end of the flight I was feeling more comfortable with it. I need to make some small adjustments to get the quickness I like ( I am running the basic setup now) but it feels great in the air.
The heli is 15lb 6oz RTf but you just do not feel it in the air. The sheer force of an 800mm bladed machine at your fingertips is amazing. Even at 1700HS, it moves effortlessly in the air. I was NERVOUS and I am sure you can see that in the vid (Eric or Al may post that soon).
It was awesome to watch Kyle Dahl fly the XXtreme, it is NUTZ to actually fly it yourself . You gotta try one!!!!
I am going to fly all day tomorrow so I should have a more complete assesment of the heli then. I will advise then......Ron
