So, at last I continued building my AP platform. A stretched T700E with PS1.

Minus blades, ofcourse as expected when the heli is lifted by its main shaft, it tilts forward (with a dummy weight on the front mount).

Shifting the battery within the heli's belly proved to be No Option at all. So I immediately thought about the boom's supports.

I cut a sheet of carbon fiber to batteries' length and made holes for zip ties to hold on to the supports..

then made a slit for velcro strap.

my only trouble with this option is that the whole battery mount now is free to move forward or backward because its held only by zip ties in the corners.

Any idea how I could restrict the movement of the mount? perhaps something that is also adjustable in case I change camera's etc?

Any pointers would help, im getting an AP's freeze

Use a bead of silicone between the plate and boom supports.

Dont put all that weight on your boom supports. Get two aluminum boom clamps , the same one your boom supports and stabilizer bolt to. Use the two clamps around the boom, use the same carbon fiber plates you have made only drill a hole in each end of the carbon fiber in the middle. Mount the plate on the clamps using the larger bolt that would normally hold the boom support rod. Do that on both sides. Now you have a plate on each side for the batteries, and it can easily slide up and down the boom for CG adjustment, and you no longer have the weight on the batts on those flimsy boom support rods

hmm , so ultimately the batteries are mounted on the boom not the supports? im trying to visualize your advice .. It does sound a bit too much on the support rods now that you mentioned it

Yes. I see from the pic you have one carbon plate for both batts. You will need to cut that in half lenghtwise.

Here is a pic of the boom clamp, you will need two The smaller ,longer bolts will be on top and the larger (4mm) bolt will go through the CF battery plate
