I do wish my mQX could flip like that. I suspect those cost a bit more than my mQX though.

I wonder if those have proximity sensors of some type or was this all just timing/coordinated and GPS location movements.

I've read on this sort of thing before but with small wheeled robots that are also programed to swarm. They are all communicating with a local computer that gives them a sort of local "within room only" GPS (notice all the "eyes" mounted around the top of the room).

Just imajine the man hours it took to program and debug all that code...

very well done.

Now imagine scaling it up to control multiple 700 class helis to do syncro 3D...

the days of human pilot skill are going away...

showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

but how is it done? If they were simply preprogrammed, once one got out of sequence it'd be a mess. They seemed to individually correct.

I bet each one follows preprogramed position rules. They probably remotly control one to position the swarm where they want it. The other just try can maintain their position/collision boundaries.
