I am tempted to buy the 450X BNF and fly it until it dies just to have the BeastX left to play with when it does die.

This message is directly for E-Flite and I will try and make it very easy to understand.

No brushless MCPX = TOTAL EPIC FAILURE!!!! I guess you dont like money.

I have so much fun with my stock one that buying a brushless BNF version would be a pleasure. I would buy two so if I broke one I would not have to wait to get parts to fly.

I agree on the 300 its a better deal than the 450 as stated in my previous post. I could play with that thing for 6 months before I broke it then have the Beast X to play with in another heli after.ENGAGE!!

I work on the helis for the LHS and from what I've seen the Blades series has pretty much been junk. Quality is a big issue there. The smaller ones are pretty good for what they are. The 450 3D is a improvement but still a plastic helicopter. Now their getting in deep with the X and 500 in a market that already flooded. The should have gone brushless with the Mcx p I'll bet thatwould have out sold any of the new stuff.

I extensively flew a Blade 400 BNF for years with no issues at all. I did "dumb thumb" it once and ended up having to replace the blades, main shaft, spindle, blade grips, and canopy. I had no reliability issues with that heli at all. It went to a new owner when I replaced it last year with a Blade 450 BNF. The 450 BNF has also been reliable and faultless. My only change from box stock was to replace the wooden main blades with the eFlite carbon blades.

And both the Blade 400 and 450 3D machines are light years ahead of the Blade CP that brought me back into helis!

If they dont come out with a brushless Mcpx they will have missed the mark..et. How could they make such a mistake? I love my Mcpx for
indoor flying!

people who do serious flying dont have time for modifying Xheli type helis to at least perform like an align or protos. They really should improve the MPCX to brushless and stop flooding the market with other stuff not needed.

Trust me ..The 450X is a match or more for the Align 450..The design may look cheesy to some, but it is wonderfully simple, the parts are cheap, it is very light, and the BestX works great..Whoever did the setup for it knocked it out of the park...

drdot-Do you have a 450X yet. I am so close to pulling the trigger and buying one. I have a blade 450 3D that I just bought and only have about 8 flights on. Is the 450X worth selling the flybared version and getting the 450X? I know it looks nice, curious as to how it flysFly it like your stole it!!!!!

Oh, yessss..I own one....And I'm sticking to my story..

I spent part of yesterday going through the heli, looking for things to not like...I disassembled the head, checked the usual suspects..Went through the tail, looking for slop, etc...

Removed and lubed the belt, 'cuz i do that..
Checked all screws etc...

After all that, Here's what I didn't like...

No lube on thrust bearings.
Tail rotor control rod had a slight bow in it...realigned guides.
Factory use of zip ties to hold wiring in place not a good idea. Some of the servo wires were slightly damaged (cosmetic) by excessive tension on the ties....Replaced them with dental floss...'cuz i do that...
Reset gear mesh on motor pinion, because I thought it was a bit tight..

That was all....the heli even has loctite on the screws.

I do not know how well the heli will stand up over time, but it has such great flying characteristics that I don't care...The AR7200BX is wonderful...

I know many will disagree with mu assessment, but I'm now drooling for the 300!

John.

P.S. for the pickers of nits..I am going to drop a tooth on the pinion to see if I can squeeze out a bit more flight time without sacrificing too much performance....

Thats it...I gotta get one. Does it feel more stable in the air to you than a normal flybared heli. My LHS has one in stock and I think I am going to go down and get it tomorrowFly it like your stole it!!!!!

I wouldn't say the fbl helis feel more "stable"...They feel more connected and precise than flybar (to me) when set up for 3D...One thing I've noticed about the BeastX is that the t/r gyro works VERY well...And the servos in the 450X are very fast...

My "control" heli is a 450 Align with Tarot head and misc. parts, also running a BeastX standalone...I've spent quite a bit of time tuning it, and it flys very well...But the 450X has more "snap"...I feel the servo speed has a bearing on this..I run 5065 servos with 9257 tail; the 450x is quicker and more crisp....

kind of off topic, but I wonder if any F3C pilots are running FBL...Gotta go check...
