I know the belt on the N5C is pretty good but how's the torque tube?

I prefer torque tubes, but I know some helis do better with a belt. It's really not that big of a deal for me on this one. If the TT works, I go that route. If it doesn't, I go belt.

Your only choice at this point is a belt because the TT version was never released. Yes, the belt works exceptionally well on the N5c and E6.

Even if there was a TT for it, I would still go with the belt. It really performs well on the N5c (and E6).

Both are good from what I am seeing from Matt, but I see no reason to go to TT. I have had my n5c for over 6 months and have never had any issues with the tail no matter how hard I push it.

I was looking at the N5C manual but I haven't heard much about it. That's why I asked, but since they don't have a TT, belt...

The belt drive system on the N5/N5c is excellent! I can honestly say it is the best belt drive system i have flown to date!

The belt drive system Matt uses on the N5/N5c is Heavy Duty and will take anything you can throw at it. It is very smooth and gives a very positive and precise tail control.

I like the simplicity of the belt. The new belts are much better than the old days of the Bando sewing machine belts that Hirobo and others used. But they were pioneers.

The N5C, bar none, has the best belt/tail rotor system that I've ever owned. I don't say that because I own the machine, I say that because I've flown anything I could get my hands on over the that 12 years and the N5C is a great design. The design is very robust and efficent. When properly built, I think the difference between a belt drive and torque tube on a N5 would be very minimal at best.
