JR 270 shakes
what is the problem in this video? im using a JR270 3d gyro on my blade 400 controlled with a JR12x,iv tried everything i can think of, adjusting servo throws, reversing in the tx and on the gyro. mounting with thicker foams and using zeal tape. adjusting dual rates, servo speeds, travel limits, gyro gains, servo arm lengths to no end. any sugestions? this gyro is brand new.

Are you using the tail servo that came with the 400? The 270 will only work with a digital servo.

One or more of these:

Gain too high.

Something in the tail drive system loose or slipping.

Bad vibration somewhere, maybe a bent tail rotor shaft or unbalanced tail rotor system.

Gyro mounting tape crappy and falling apart.

Something wrong in the way the tail rotor hub/grips are put together and functioning.

Transmitter not set up properly to control the gyro.

Transmitter set up correctly, but gain lead plugged into wrong RX socket.

One-way clutch not doing its job well.

Bad servo.

Gyro has problems, or improperly set-up.

ESC acting weird, not controlling motor properly.

Motor not happy.

weird things happening
I have a dx7 that appears to need attention because the tail on my rex 600 is shakey no matter what i do and now i just built a yak 54 and sure enough, my rudder is wigging out with left input only. The rex has the ar7000 and the yak has the ar6100e....My friend bobshi had a similar problem with his futaba system...i flew his heli and it was scary....i put it down and said i think we got a transmitter issue. The throttle curves i programmed were soft for him but that thing was freaking out just above hover.. as if curve 3 and 4 were far appart..but i had 2,3 and 4 fairly close keeping it soft around hover..maybe updating is needed sooner than it used to be

it seems as i have been battling this forever now. the esc is a new castle seems to run smooth with the new scorpion motor. iv replaced the tail shaft and belt. iv tried disconnecting the gain channel and setting with the gyro, iv tried using heading hold and normal gyro functions. im starting to think its something to do with the gryo. maybe, since its the middle of winter here anyways ill send it back to horizon for a look over and test.

flynbryan,

iv been flying other helis and planes all along with no trouble, dont think the tx is to blame here. but i guess it could always be my programming! ha its easy to get lost in all the menus

IF you suspect the transmitter, go to its MONITOR menu and watch the slider for the channel(s) you think may be acting up.-----
