Really impressed by the quality of this kit. The quality of my align 700 was laughable compared to this...not even in the same ballpark. It had a couple tiny cracks on the canopy but I will just put a little CA in them instead of bothering with getting a replacement. I will get a custom canopy or two anyway.

I have a beastx and hobbywing 120a esc. I am not sure what servos and motor I will use just yet.

I couldn't resist a quick dry fit to see what it looks like. My iphone lens is scratched so the pictures are grainy...I need to get a new back plate for it.

you will love it...i had to loosen all my frame screws and realign the frame. had trouble with main shaft sliding into lower bearing block...other than that, i got an extra control rod guide. put it on closer to frame, instead of just the one that comes with the kit...

Thanks guys! I will be ordering servos and motor next week and should have it flying in a couple weeks.

Thanks for the tips raptor. I may add another control rod guide...sounds like a good idea. My main shaft went in to the bottom block easily but I haven't tightened everything down just yet.

congrats!

I'm running Castle 120 V2 and Xera 4530-500, MKS HBL950/980 servos, Stock blades and love this heli.

Take the head apart, red loc tite the grip arm bolts to the grips. Blue for the spindle bolts and clean out the spindle holes really well with some rubbing alcohol to get out the factory oil. Check the tail, some factory assembled tails have the tail grip bearing in backwards. The "looser" thrust bearing goes on the inside and the tighter one on the outside. You can check them on the shaft and see what I mean but one will have a little more play and that goes inside.

I do like the extra tail rod guide on the tail boom. Lube the belt liberally with silicoln spray. I spray some in a little bowl and then let the belt sit in there for 10 mins or so and move it around every so often so the oil will soak in a bit.

Randy!!! I am the liquor

@Raptormandan- Where did you get the metal on the tail pushrod. I've been looking for something that will fit instead of shrink tubing. Did you have to replace the whole tail pushrod too?

That's my point, I'm curious as to what he's using. Whether it is a part already made or from some tubing supplier.

It flies amazingly well!!! I got 4 flights on it this evening. I spent most of the time tweaking the beastx to my liking but I can tell this heli is the best I have flown. The align motor is making a ton of power and the motor, esc, and batteries are coming down very cool. On my last two flights I did everything I could to try to get the tail to blow out or the main gear to strip. I lubed the gear before the first flight and I didn't have any noticeable dust and no stripped(or in any way blemished) teeth. The tail had some wags on certain maneuvers but no blowouts...and the wag is not anything mechanical...I just need to keep working with the beastx.

I am THRILLED with this helicopter. Everything from build to maiden was trouble free and it flies like a dream.

I have never been this happy with a helicopter after the first few flights!
