This hobby supports small business in the US
So I was listening to an interview with Bobby Watts on RChelination.com. He was discussing his time with miniature aircraft and speaking about the company in general. He highlighted that it is a small U.S. business. Since then I started noticing that many of the companies I am getting components from are also small U.S. based businesses. I like that and feel it is important. It was really cool to realize that when I was asking questions about a product I was getting an email back from the owner. (Heck when I had an issue with the download count on smacktalk Bert emailed me back. ) Since then I became conscious of the little guys who make great products. (I even don't mind if sometimes I pay a bit more because their product has a small consumer market)

I was thinking of starting a list of them so others can take notice.

Dou you think this is a good idea ?

Post'em all.

Now if the government would get on board, small businesses would have a better chance at surviving.

I'm in the process of setting up accounts for things I'm working on. I'm making sure they are all USA businesses. There are some very good people to do business with here in the USA for this hobby. I encourage it all.

Thanks,
Chris

The more I'm thinking of it the more realize. The hobby shop is a small business, many of the online retailers are and so are many component manufacturers. so shop away knowing you are keeping us all a float.Man is so anxious about his future that he does not enjoy the present. - Dalai Lama

would definately be nice to know what percentage of thier product is domestic (actually made not just assembled here), or just resale items actually made overseas...showing a preference will only get you into trouble, 90% of everything is crap...

The problem is the LHS doesn't have anything on the shelf. And Eflite witch they carry, the important parts are ALWAYS gone. You would think they would realize the call for them and stock more. But no. they waiting for there 10yr sitting on the shelf stuff to sell.
I gave up on my LHS and order online from other American shops.
Friends don't encourage friends to fly helis! It can cause part shortages.

Does this mean we no longer buy Taiwan or China built helicopters and parts? How many brands are built here? One? I know there is Miniature Aircraft. Any others? If my wife had another job I'd have more Helicopters
