Hey there! We went and got a new Harley so we've been spending our free time on that, vrooom! We're totally newbies in heli's and haven't even mastered hover. We currently have a few T-Rex's sitting on my kitchen table :/. We have a 700N LE,550E Nexus30nitro "frankenstein" that he threw a bunch of cash into and hasen't done a thing with it except look at it! Plus a couple others. Probably about 5k in all and it is just sitting and collecting dust.. I got my boyfriend one for his birthday and he loved it so much he went on a shopping spree but then got intimidated I think..I'm not sure where he stands on this hobby butI know he does love the thought of being able to fly that 700Nitro,LOL! I think he is considering selling them tho'. But let me tell ya, he has flown a real aircraft and I think he would really enjoy this if I can get him off the ground with one of these heli's!I think he's just so scared of crashing them, honestly. Which is easily under$tood. $$$$$$ LOL!

I looked everywhere for a club and I think the closest is Savannah. I never heard of the one you mentioned. I googled and it looks like that's in New York,I think? You can go to Chaplin Park and fly your stuff. It's right around the corner from where your staying. Maybe take a little folding table or something if you need a work table and maybe a piece of wood or something for a heli pad if you need a flat surface for landing. It's a beautiful park and it's big!I called the town and they had nooo problem with us going to fly there. Are you pretty advanced??? We would love to meet up with you if you'd like and bring a couple of ours and pick your brain.I could bring the table and heli pad if you need one.

Let me know if you have anymore questions or want to meet up at the park,k.I think this is a totally kewl hobby and I hope he will stick with it. He was doing pretty good on the simulator and just kinda stopped when it came to actually flying a real heli. For one thing he is trying to start with a 700 nitro so he is right to be scared!!! He has smaller ones(450) too but that 700 is the apple of his eye. LOL

Have a good stay on HHI.We are locals and have been for 20 years. So if you have any other questions about the Island or whatever, dont hesitate. I can send ya my phone number if you want to meet up and give me call when your ready to go flying. Colleen

sounds good
I actually fly planes. i started off flying a heli, but it was to hard. I have 14 planes and just recently moved to big scale planes. much easier to see and fly..cost abit more but well worth it in my opinion.
this will be our 25th year for HH !! we have spent enough money on rent we could have bought the place

if you google rc clubs in HH that place comes up on folly beach and even has a phone number. i havent tried to call it yet but will.
my cell is 765-401-6657. you can e-mail me at bammer991@gmail.com with your number and maybe we can all get together while were down there. we know the island quite well and after 25 years we should

about 3 years ago I hauled my boat down there. its a long haul from Indiana. had a blast driving it around the island !!
