Looks like they're taking preorders and ReadyHeli should be getting them late this month or first week of February.

Whose getting one?!

EDIT: Preorders SOLD OUT now. Next preorder is next month.

I like Mikado but they could try to hide the tool marks.

No thank you. Too big, too expensive (just think of the cost of the 14S packs FFS), too dangerous (it's not that a 700 would be kind to your physique but this is just over the top), and very new to boot.

Just think of the crash costs on this machine. There is no way you can crash it for less than $400, and a serious crash would affect your credit score.

It's not that the market is not there - see how popular 50cc planks are, at roughly the same costs - but I'd rather sit out this one.

I would if I could but CAN'T so I won't. Really I would have no business owning a machine like this at this point in my learning process but I really am excited to start seeing them around. You guys that get them please get some pics on here.

@ Havoc,

I took that picture in my garage in a response for some photos of the machine in the Mikado section. I first posted it there. The photo has been now used for promotion of the machine, but it was never intended for that purpose.

The XXtreme head you see in the photo is an early prototype version Kyle received from Mikado back in April of 2011. Yes, it is rough, as was most of the prototype parts we first received. Production stuff of course has a nicer finish.

What are you talking about?
That is cheap for what you get. All you need are servos and an rx. They put a really competitive price on that.

I thought the ones I saw at IRCHA looked liked prototypes so I was scratching my head a little at seeing the same in the promo. Thanks for explaining it.

I hate you Wrongler!

Actually, I was on the notify list and got the email at 11:55AM EST on the 25th. By the time I saw the email at about 1:30 PM and clicked on it, the first round of preorders was already gone.

That's OK. The next round is in late February. That will give me a month to save up after dropping $2K on the Goblin last week with comparable equipment. I still don't get these people who think the Xxtreme is overpriced!

So for $2,600 you get the kit plus you get a Scorpion motor, YGE speed controller, a Vbar, and a set of main and tail blades?

Yes, it's expensive, but perhaps not as expensive as some might think.

It is a very good deal in my opinion. Go back about 6 years during the Fury Days and that was a price of a typical 90 size heli with good components. Everyone is use to the align saturation of the market prices of inferior products. Not saying align isn't good, just not up to snuff with other manufactures.
