I just got around to assembling my FBL head and I'm having an issue with the dampeners. When i insert them into the yoke the are flush with the yoke and when I assemble the head i end up with a rather large gap between the yoke and the blade grip. the opening for the dampeners is 10mm deep on the fbl head where as my fb head is only 5mm deep. do the dampeners go in all the way or only partially?
edit:
I'm able to install 3 o-ring style dampeners on each side so I know this isn't right. I'm sending the head back to Avant rc tomorrow. this really sucks! Does anyone know where I can purchase an SE mains haft also?

I didn't have a problem with my FBL head. Once together, the fit was frim with no gaps. I don't remember the the depth of the FBL head, but I do know the dampners are different from the Flybarred, might be the problem? or send it back. A-main has the SE shaft in stock.

I ordered one(mainshaft) from Amain. I went there after posting this. I didn't know there are two different dampeners. The ones that came with the head were no good i.e the spindle had way to much play. So I purchased a set from Amain since I had to get some parts there anyway. I have a prototype Aurora and it used a jesus bolt to hold the auto hub in place. the new style uses a 4mm pin and set screw which didn't come with the FBL kit so I had to purchase them, along with the autorotation sleeve.
If there is two different sets of dampeners there should be some indication of this. different part #'s or at least a note when ordering them. This is my second set that I purchased. I ruined the first set that I purchased trying to get them out to measure the depth of the yoke. i just measured my dampeners and they measured 8.87mm. does anyone have their FBL head that they have not assembled yet? if so, can you measure the dampeners and report back what they are.

Well if your measurement from before is correct (10mm), then looking at mine it looks to be an additional 2mm from outer yolk to grip. So roughly 12mm. That is the best I can tell.

I just found that out. Avant rc fixed the problem.
