Cool... Though the .vbr files are just XML files. The format is very opaque with just a bunch of Value elements. But what you could do to figure this out is save a "baseline" version, say "baseline.vbr". Then open the app, change the setting you're interested in finding (say the paddle simulation value) and save a new config as, say "target.vbr".

Then do a diff on the two files - the diff should identify which one is the setting you want to change. Then just hack the value in the .vbr and load it up....

In fact, I just tried that, changing the setting of paddle simulation from 0 to 1 and here's what I got:

machal:~ lucien$ diff ./vvv.vbr ./vvchanged.vbr
56c56
< <VALUE Register="68" Value="0"/>
---
> <VALUE Register="68" Value="1"/>

So looks like Register 68 is your man....

But you didn't hear all this from me

I'm just going to pay Inga her 45 big ones too and just get it overwith. After spending all that on the unit and then who knows how much for the heli... I'm ok with paying Inga (I knew this would be a possibility when I bought the unit anyway lol).

Then it may go in my electric beater as an experiment to see how it works and get familiar with it...

What tha Schnitzel ?
Ahhh!

I may monkey around with the numbers, but I am telling you that it be something in Inga's filmware that may not allow to upload the changed schnitzel value to the unit.

I'll try and I'll let you know.

The firmware has locks in it, so in some cases it might work, or even look like it worked, but alas, in most cases, no.

Just get the pro and be done with it, log function alone is enough to be worth it.

Btw, nice heli

That's what I was thinking also. The firmware probably has guards in it that just make some of the settings ineffective. The file looks like just a large register file abstraction to me - internally that may be how the settings actually work (just loads virtual registers with these values). So the firmware probably enables some and disables others.

Still, the extra vibration analysis stuff looks like it's worth Pro alone, but it looks worth it overall.

MrMel, have you heard anything about the nitro governor in 5.2 being fixed yet, by the way? Havn't see anything on vstabi.com, but just wondering...

Nitro governor, use the workaround, i showed in the my nitro video remake. (do not govern normal) and it works fine.

Not sure there will be any 'fix' soon as they do not see it as a problem per see.

Ok thanks Mel. Yeah I've watched your great governor vid about 100 times along with all your others lol.

I do use the governor in normal mode all the time, tho, so I think I'll just do the switch method (pull into hover and then turn on governor).

Now all I need is another heli to put it on lol...

Thanks Mr Mel,
I use my work around for that time, but I recon that the full VStabi version is needed in my case.
Weather is nice today, I’m off to the field a bit later.

I will like to see later if the V-Bar gov for electric is worth setting up for my Diabolo. I am using a Power Jive 120.
