Agree with Jerry,
The original dampers work great. I have no play at all.

Yes, 2 inside 2 outside, (one on each side, inside and out) I had problems at first because I had RJX heads on my 2 700's and had never run an Align 700 head. I tried to assemble it like a 600 with the thrust bearings on the outside but after I looked at the instructions and put it together like it shows it all fit (go figure)I was trying to install the second radial bearing before the thrust bearing.

Okay guys, put the stock DFC ones back in and all is good now. Weird how the others are same thinkness but has slop while together. I'm a little concerned about the gap between the head and grips. I read somewhere with pictures showing the difference in gaps and causes for concerns. I'm not necessarily worried about boomstikes because I'm gonna be running between 2100-2200 HS on 690 rail blades (like that matters I know but).HeliDirect Field Rep, Synergy N7 w/ OS 105, Torq Servos, Cyclone/ Rail blades

Bearing stack up from in to out:

Washer, grip, radial, thrust (large I'd side first), washer, radial, bolt

Should be very solid, no slop, even crush the dampener very slightly.

Some one said earlier the 2 bolts that hold the arm
Onto the blade holders are too short .
Yes they are and need to be afew mm longer , my buddy had a light crash an his ripped right out , there's no reason not to have longer bolts .

Align 690 3G work well with BeastX and DFC.
Flew my 700N and 700E yesterday and had a ball.
The DFC head was a major improvement on the 700N as it had the original long pre-fbl main shaft

With all due respect, whats wrong with the dampners that come with the head? Are you asking because you have tried the stock dampners and didn't like them. In order to know how the KBDD dampners work, the stock ones need to be tried first. If to many thing are changed the true results will never be known.

The stock ones are too soft.

Align have actually released new dampers specifically for the DFC.
They are extremely stiff.

http://www.align.com.tw/shop/produc...roducts_id=4316

Align might possibly be shipping the DFC head with the new dampers now, but originally they shipped with the old (soft) ones.

Do you know what the durometer rating is on them. Either the stock ones, DFC or the KBDD

It's getting tough to keep up with all the changes, it used to be easy.

The DFC ones are POM (Polyoxymethylene/Delrin), so they are basically solid plastic.
Not sure about the durometer of the stock dampers.
I'm using Trueblood's until my DFC ones arrive.

Hmmm weird! When I put mine in, my grips had play, kind of like a washer is missing. If I pull on them they slide a bit on the feath shaftHeliDirect Field Rep, Synergy N7 w/ OS 105, Torq Servos, Cyclone/ Rail blades
