I'm running pretty much the same but using CP YS-20%, Enya 5 and 1960 head speed.

I am going to try the stock ratio of 8.20 (15 tooth) pinion this week to see what type of performance that yields.

I could tell the difference between the YS on 20 versus 15%. The motor would drive the rotor to full pitch faster on 20%.

For you guys testing the ys turn off your gov and run +-15 pitch to really tell how much the % differs (watch for overspeed in fast descents). If the gov is on the motor is just not going to be at full throttle for very long, initially it is then the gov backs off if you don't have a lot of pitch.

Not to hijack a thread here but has anyone had vib issues with the 120? Mine runs good but man does it vibrate. I get a lot of foaming in the tank, and from the reg to the carb lots of bubbles. Is anyone using a fuel bladder that I had read about.?mike (mhawk)

There isn't enough oil in that fuel for your engine to run as it should ideally.

Will it run, yes but a higher oil content is ideal with that engine.

Just add 4oz/of oil to a gallon 15% (green) cool power as per calculation by a local hobby shop to get 22% of oil. The oil made from cool power
(High Performance Castor/Synthetic oil ) for Model Engine Oil. The reason I did this cause I have a case of Cool Power 15% sit on table rather than not use, will try them tomorrow how it run

I use a home mix 20/20 fuel in my YS 91, oil is Klotz KL 198.

Now i bought 120 YS, is it better to mix 22% KL198/15 nitro for it,or add castor oil or aerosave or something?

Or stay in 20/20 fuel, it is very easy to mix...even i can do it.

Ys 120 update
After flying 4 gal through my 120 and some tuning help from the guys in Grapvine ,namley Robert ,Philip, & George,Thanks, I can say that this motor on 15% RR with an Enya #5 plug has all the power you'll need > I have a Rave with Vbar 13% degrees of pitch and the motor will not bogg under anything I give it ,full clime outs ,frontal tick tocks ,I even had a friend who can do tail down figure eights test it with no bogg. Completly satisfied. I ended up at just about one click out, from one complete turn out on both mid and high needles,1950 head speed(motor is verry happy sound like just ideling along) with 710 blades.

I like this motor, running 15 on pitch, about 1850 head speed, Edge SE 693, ton of power, got a gallon threw it now and gets stronger every flight. Bobby

Cool Powers YS-20% blend should be out very soon.

I've been testing several variations of the new blend for the past few months and I think we've nailed this last variation.

If your partial to Cool Power than you should be happy very soon.
